Extractions: Product Description Building on the success of the amateur range of Coolpix cameras, Nikon has introduced the Coolpix 5700 in an attempt to bridge the gap between the amateur and professional markets. This time around Nikon has gone for a semicompact feel, combining an almost palm-size unit with a powerful features one would expect to find on a high-specification midrange digital camera. The swiveling, swing-out screen on the Coolpix 5700 makes it easier to frame self-portrait, overhead, and floor-level shots. The Coolpix 5700 comes equipped with an automatic pop-up flash, plus a hot-shoe for additional flash units. The bundled NikonView 5 browser software makes it simple to download, organize, and print images. The package includes a lens cap, camera strap, 16 MB CompactFlash card, AV cable, USB cable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and battery charger. It is compatible with CompactFlash memory cards (Type I or II), as well as IBM Microdrives.

Albert G. Lucas, 1905 History Of Crawford County Kansas, P. 627-632 albert G. Lucas, AM, long an active minister of the Christian church, He returned to girard in the fall of 1890, and served one year as deputy district http://skyways.lib.ks.us/genweb/archives/crawford/history/1905/lucas_albert_g.ht
Extractions: Albert G. Lucas, A. M., long an active minister of the Christian church, almost throughout his long lifetime writer for or editor and publisher of newspapers, a man of varied experience in public, business and professional affairs, is now closing up his life accounts in his home at Girard, and at the age of eighty odd years is active in mind and body and hopes to continue so until the summons to the great beyond. Going back into the old ancestral lines, there is ample documentary evidence to prove that the Lucases descended from a long line of Saxon barons, who were among the first to accept the Lutheran reformation, and, although the more immediate ancestors married into a family of Irish Catholics, Mr. Lucas' father never yielded one jot of his Protestantism, but was himself a stout Presbyterian with all that word implied a hundred years ago. Samuel Lucas, the father, was born in Franklin county, Pennsylvania, April 10, 1778, and was a farmer and a school teacher. He voted for Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren. He served eighteen months in the war against Great Britain in 1812-15.

Paul M. Willenberg 6 Mai 1996 Senior Honors English The Overlake In Létranger, albert Camus anticipates an active reader that will react to his text. girard not only misses Camus reader response oriented intention, http://www.sccs.swarthmore.edu/users/00/pwillen1/lit/rerescam.htm
Extractions: In Létranger, Albert Camus anticipates an active reader that will react to his text. He wants the reader to form a changing, dynamic opinion of Meursault. The reader can create a consciousness for Meursault from the facts that Meursault reports. By using vague and ambiguous language, Camus stimulates the reader to explore all possibilities of meaning. Camus also intends to shock the reader into rereading passages. Through discussion of narrative structure, the opening lines, the role of pity, resentment toward Meursaults judges, and the relationship between murder and innocence, I will prove that Camus purpose is to bring the reader to introspect on their own relationship with society. The readers initial reaction that Meursault is heartless begins to fall apart as Meursault reports further. Ou peut-être hier, je ne sais pas (LEtranger 9). Meursault factually does not know when his mother died. It is not that he does not care, as the reader might first interpret, but that he does not know. Camus intends this confusion so that the onus lies on the reader to determine whether Meursault is heartless, indifferent, or innocent. Meursault continues, cétait peut-être hier (LEtranger 9). By not telling the reader or Meursault the exact date, Camus stresses the dates importance, or lack thereof. Already Camus has the reader reassess societal assumptions. One of the first things we do when confronted with the news of a death is ask the exact time. The reader introspects on the importance of temporal markers. By inviting the reader to share in Meursaults exploration of the present and disregard for the past, Camus accomplishes his goal.
