Extractions: Mathematics Somewhere I saw the quotation " Mathematics has something that attracts people. " I'm afraid of wrong remembrance, so I will sometime retrieve the source. As the attracted one, I will introduce some topics. Possible policies are 1) little prior knowledge, 2) not too wide gap between the lines, 3) inserting concrete samples, 4) handing over something attractive. But in truth these are difficult. by A. H. Stone in 1904 The first perfect squared square using 55 squares by Roland Sprague in 1939 by A. J. W. JAPAN and the Far EastInternationalization in History and Civilization (Wakoku toKyokuto no aidaRekishi to Bunmei no naka no Kokusaika ) by yasuaki Onuma. http://www.cceia.org/viewMedia.php/prmTemplateID/8/prmID/535
Extractions: The human rights discourse in Japan today can be categorized in terms of three challenges that Japan is facing. The first category is linked to the need to eliminate the remaining forms of social discrimination in Japan. The second is related to Japan's relatively slow participation in various international human rights conventions. The last category derives from the debate over how Japan can contribute to the enhancement of the human rights situation around the world. The books selected reflect all three areas. (Wakoku to Kyokuto no AidaRekishi to Bunmei no naka no Kokusaika ) by Yasuaki Onuma. Chuokoron-sha, 1988. In this thoughtful book, the author challenges the prevalent myth of Japanese homogeneity. This is an expansion of an earlier thesis put forth in his 1986 book Beyond the Myth of a Single Nation Society (Tanitsu Minzoku Shakai no Shinwa o Koete). The author also highlights the pitfalls of internationalization and Japan's seeming blind faith in Westernization. With reference to social discrimination in Japan, Onuma argues that those who oppress others cannot be liberated themselves and stresses the need for social education to foster respect for intercivilizational dialogue, as well as spiritual and cultural diversity. Human Rights and Multicultural Society (Jinken Mon-dai to Tabunka Shakai) by Shin ichi Sowa. Akashi Shoten, 1996.

Extractions: Texhnolyze debuted in Japan on April 16th, 2003. The first digisubs of it have finally emerged and I've managed to watch one episode so far. The first episode is very dark and doesn't give much away. It will be interesting to see how the story proceeds. In the meantime, I've set up this webpage in order to collect and organize information about the show. This page will start off fairly small, but as more information becomes available, I expect that it will get bigger. I hope you find it useful. Feel free to contact me if you have any Texhnolyze info or images to share. In summary, big names involved in the production of serial experiments lain are heavily involved in Texhnolyze. Chiaki Konaka, Yoshitoshi ABe, and Yasuyuki Ueda are all working together again. Those three have certainly been active in anime since their making of lain , but they haven't all worked together since then. Personally, as a lain fan (here's a link to thought experiments lain , my lain site), I find it quite exciting, and I look forward to seeing what they came up with.
