She has also appeared as a soloist with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, The Capella Istropolitana in Slovakia, the Edinburgh Symphony Orchestra and with various other orchestras in Bulgaria, Canada and Holland. In several of these countries she has also appeared with notable success on radio and television. Included among her major awards are the First Prize at the Liszt competition in Lucca, Italy, 1989; the Third Prize at the International Liszt Competition in Budapest, 1996; and the Yamaha Award for the best interpretation of Brahms, in Weimar, 1997. She has also worked under the close supervision of composer Dimiter Christov, presenting his piano music on radio and CD. Her second CD, piano music of Liszt, was released in 2001 and was awarded the International Grand Prix "Liszt" du Disque 2002. In 2002 she recorded music for the soundtrack of the documentary film "In Search of Cezanne" produced by Academy Award winner Allan Miller. Ms. Vlaeva gave her New York debut in the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall in 2000.

Held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in downtown Los Angeles, the celebratory mass will feature organ music as well as choral arrangements of Polish hymns. Honorary guests will include Polish veterans, the Los Angeles Consular Corps, and California state government representatives. Following the hour-long mass will be a cultural event in the Cathedral courtyard. Celebrating Poland's Constitution Day (May 3), this event will feature performances by some of Los Angeles' premier Polish folk dance ensembles, including Krakusy, Polanie, and Podhale. 3:30 pm: Celebration mass with honorary guests.

Attempts were made to launch such a society even during the master's life time, but it was finally established in 1893. The Society suffered a number of interruptions, before in 1973, it was reborn. After the change of system in Hungary, the Society became an independent Hungarian cultural civic association. It is directed by a presidential board of 12 members. The president is István Lantos, the distinguished pianist, organist and teacher. The secretary-general is the musicologist, Dr Klára Hamburger. The Society is a member of the Hungarian Music Council. Besides its Budapest seat, other branches of the society operate in Sopron, Pécs, Szekszard and Kalocsa. The Society has nearly 600 members.
