PianoMedia » Blog Archive » Keep Your Pianos Regulated So, on one of their recommendations (thanks Chris quinn! My name is rachel, and I am a pianist and piano teacher based in Brooklyn, NY. http://pianomedia.com/2005/06/03/keep-your-pianos-regulated/
Extractions: Polyrhythms! I just want to share the story of how I recently got my beautiful piano regulated and how it has improved my life significantly. Well, recently, I began my teaching career, and for the first time in my life was able save up some money to give the piano a nice overhaul. I have some pretty advanced students with nice instruments who were starting to complain that they could barely play in my studio compared to on their pianos. So, on one of their recommendations (thanks Chris Quinn!), I had a technician by the name of Mike Miccio come by to give me an evaluation and estimate. Keep your pianos regulated! Extractions: Posted by Rachel at 09:33 PM Comments (0) TrackBack Posted by Rachel at 12:44 AM Comments (2) TrackBack I totally forgot to post about EJ 's show at the Hi-Tone a couple of weeks back. It was a really great show. Hopefully he'll be playing out a lot more often in the fall. He's been working on an album, I hear. I missed his show at Murphy's last week due to my self-imposed party hiatus, but Abby went and she even posted some film clips. Check it out. In other Memphis music news: Tim Regan , formerly of Snowglobe , has formed a new band. They're called The Pirates , er, I mean Raygun . Check 'em out. Here's a cute picture of Tim to hold you over until they get some music recorded or book some shows - whichever comes first. Posted by Rachel at 02:25 AM Comments (0) TrackBack I'm totally bored with myself. But I figure, you come here because you're bored too. So, I posted my pictures from The Beale Street Music Festival. There are a lot of shots of Ben Kweller from when EJ interviewed him. I've been meaning to send EJ the shots and post the pics, so now I've accomplished both. Ok, I think I'm gonna go take a nap now.
