Highlights van het festival in 2005: als festivalopening een Brahmsprogramma onder leiding van Ivan Fischer met pianosolist Peter Donohoe in Apeldoorn, twee klassieke programmas onder leiding van Jos van Immerseel en pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard, een ensembleprogramma Bad Boys in Music onder leiding van Etienne Siebens, en een groot symfonisch programma met werken van Messiaen en Mahler als slotconcert in Arnhem. Na het succesvolle slotconcert van afgelopen jaar zullen er dit jaar twee evenementen plaatsvinden in Radio Kootwijk. In 1974, he took part in a Satie programme in the Warsaw Autumn Festival. In the late 1970's he performed in a series of concerts of twentieth-century music, in which each concert is devoted to a particular theme. Reinbert de Leeuw was born in Amsterdam in 1938. He studied piano and music theory with Jaap Spaanderman in Amsterdam and composition with Kees van Baaren in The Hague. He currently teaches at the Royal Conservatorium in The Hague. Besides his work as a pianist he is also a conductor and a composer. His better-known compositions include "Abschied", a work for symphony orchestra, and he was also one of the composers who collaborated on the opera "Reconstruction". He has published a book on Charles Ives, in collaboration with the writer J.
