For students with an interest in Physics as an academic discipline, several courses in core theoretical and experimental Physics are available at all undergraduate levels. For more technologically inclined students the Department offers courses and programmes in electronics and has well equipped teaching laboratories for this purpose. Research within the Department is centred on the interests of staff , and areas include Applied optics, Microelectronics, Electronics, Medical Physics, Neurological Modelling, Retinal Imaging, Mechatronics, and Biomedical imaging.
