    Extractions: 24 gennaio 2008 HOME CHI SIAMO CREDITS Eric Voegelin segnala l'articolo ad un amico stampa l'articolo di Fabrizio Gualco - 1 giugno 2000 Eric Hermann Vilhelm Voegelin nasce a Colonia il 3 gennaio 1901. In questo periodo frequenta l'ambiente della "scuola viennese", stringendo rapporti di amicizia con Hayek, Machlup, Morgestern. Sempre a Vienna entra in contatto con Hans Kelsen (padre della dottrina pura del diritto nonché autore della costituzione del 1920) con cui porterà a termine la dissertazione di dottorato dal titolo "Wechselwirkung und Gezweiung" del 1922, lavoro che propone una comparazione delle categorie sociologiche di George Simmel e Otmar Spann. Nel frattempo studia l'opera di Max Weber, attraverso cui riconosce l'esigenza, ai fini di una corretta scienza politica e sociale, di una conoscenza comparativa non solo della civiltà moderna, ma anche di quella antica e medievale. Quello con le teorie weberiane costituisce un incontro che si traduce in una frequentazione testuale assidua, mantenuta tale nel tempo, anche quando, attraverso le argomentazioni di "The New Science of Politics" del 1958, Voegelin si distanzia dall'impostazione metodologica weberiana rifiutando criticamente la distinzione-contrapposizione tra giudizio di valore (Werturteil) e giudizi di fatto (Tatsachenurteile).
