     Extractions: In questi anni il suo lavoro di ricerca si spostò sulla specificità sierologica delle emoglobine nelle varie specie animali, sugli antigeni e apteni e sull'anafilassi prodotta dalle azoproteine. Nella primavera del 1923 accettò l'nvito del Direttore del Rockefeller Institute di New York. Lavorare a New York fu per lui veramente duro soprattutto per il caos ed il rumore della città, a cui non era abituato. Alla fine andò ad abitare in una fattoria sperduta nel Vermont dove rimase fino alla morte nel 1935. Ebbe numerose cariche onorifiche: Membro Corrispondente della Società Medica di Vienna. Nel 1926 ebbe il premio annuale Hans Aaronsohn, divenne nel 1927 Dottore Onorario di Medicina dell'Università di Chicago per il riconoscimento della "più alta Autorità del mondo per lo studio dei meccanismi immunologici".
