Other Options for Tutoring: The Student Development Center (264 UCEN) offers tutorial services in a broad range of disciplines. Tutors hold regular office hours for walk-in support and individual tutors are available for students who require intensive one-on-one support. The SDC also provides free, confidential counseling services to students. The campus counselor provides a supportive setting to disclose academic, vocational and personal problems/situations. Confidentiality is strictly maintained. Several 100-level mathematics classes (calc I, calc II, business calc) are often selected for supplemental instruction (SI), meaning that students in these classes can attend optional group oriented problem solving sessions lead by upper-level students. Students that attend SI are more likely to pass exams and less likely to fail challenging courses. For more information on SI, contact the Student Development Center (264 UCEN).
