Nate Robinson has appeared as soloist thoughout the world since the age of 10, he made his solo debut with the Taipei Symphony Orchestra playing the Paganini Violin Concerto No. 1 at the age of 11 and subsequently performed again with the orchestra two years later. He has since performed throughout the United States; at Lincoln Center in New York City, has appeared with orchestras in New York, Texas, Oregon, and Los Angeles performing the works of Glazunov, Wieniawski, Beethoven, Sarasate, and Spohr among others. Nate Robinson has also performed in Canada, Germany, Holland, and Asia. In addition he has appeared in performance with the renowned pianist and conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy and in chamber music performances with members of the San Francisco Symphony and Minnesota Orchestra. Peter Ferreira
Biography Critically acclaimed concert violinist, Peter Ferreira was born on March 13, 1970 and has been a very active violinist since the age of 6. Peter's love for music developed early in his life due, perhaps, to the great artistic and musical surroundings of Coimbra, the city in which he was raised, but he was also greatly inspired by his paternal, Grandfather, Joaquim Carlos Ferreira . Mr. Joaquim Carlos Ferreira was himself a great violinist and founder of the Jazz Orchestra Danubio Azul , a successful 12 member jazz orchestra which started playing in the late 1930's. When his family moved to the United States in 1985, Mr. Ferreira attended Danbury High School and continued his music studies with Cathy Dorn and Mike Macelletti. He participated in an orchestra competition in Montreal, Canada and was subsequently awarded the DHS Senior Orchestra Award. Peter has also received other awards during his years in college while studying with great violinists such as Eric Lewis, of the Manhattan String Quartet, Joel Pitchon , Mara Milkis, Erick Friedman James Graseck and participated in master classes with Pinchas Zukerman and Isaac Stern As a soloist, Mr. Ferreira has performed at numerous concert venues and with various orchestras and ensembles in the United States, Canada, and Europe. He performed with the Estudantina Universitaria de Coimbra and maintained the position of Concert Master or Assistant Concert Master in a number of orchestras in Connecticut and New York, as well as the Nutmeg Opera. He founded the Dresden String Quartet in 1998, and performed as its first violinist through 2002.
