I think there is a need for a creative axiom in Mathematics and the teaching of Mathematics.
“Synthesis or Basis ” A poem by Zim Olson
Do all item(s) and/or event(s) exist in a set of relationships? Basis without synthesis would be an existential crisis! Synthesis without basis would give us no rational to guide us. Basis and Synthesis in one time would be an existential crime. Giving a Mathematics in crisis!
The axiom of Time to me is one of the main axioms of Mathematics. ...To me , "Time" is just another mathematical construct used to model and explain our surroundings. Other useful paradigms can be found. An Information Time would be one such useful paradigm.

Zim's Philosophy on Mathematics - "All Mathematics is equal. I have nothing against Mathematics , just how it is taught . I have a problem with how Mathematics is taught in the schools where Mathematics and their Axioms are represented as Universal Truths
By convention of teachers, Mathematics and their Axioms are altered as little as possible. This is a mistake that we all pay for.
Creativity in Mathematics and their founding Axioms should be recognized as an essential part of the progress of Mathematics and Mathematicians. Most Math Artists use Math to create their Art, I use Art to create my Math. Mathematics at its' best is Pure Logic applied to some abstract existential component (Not necessarily Numbers) and put well on paper (or other medium). This Zim Mathematics Web Site is my attempt at showing what a Creative Mathematics could really mean. Synthesis of Knowledge is Axiomatic, not just through analysis. Knowledge can be simply generated. Math Concept Art, a form of Math Art, is a staple of Zim Mathematics. Examples of

OUR USERS Here are just a few unsolicited testimonials from current Algebrator users: Your program so far has been great. I purchased this software for my 13 yr. old daughter who is having some problems in math. We have a tutor coming over to the house and between your software and him she got her first "A" in a very hard chapter test. As you might know sometimes when you see a different approach on a problem or sometimes just someone else showing you different ways to understand the problem that is all it takes. Your software seems to give this problem solving approach in a way that is easy to understand. Thanks again, the whole Turley family. Walt Turley, Long Beach, CA I think this is a great piece of software. I applaud your efforts to bring a product to struggling math students such as myself.

Slowly i'm getting a little cautious about what we're easily accepting in school! Thanks for your reply. (At least at the high school level, but i think this is true also generally in some way.) Can you imagine how could that law be proven? Can you imagine how could ALL laws be proven somehow theoretically?

Relevance of the Axiom of Choice
THE AXIOM OF CHOICE There are many equivalent statements of the Axiom of Choice. The following version gave rise to its name: For any set X there is a function f , with domain , so that f x ) is a member of x for every nonempty x in X Such an f is called a ``choice function" on X . [Note that means X with the empty set removed. Also note that in Zermelo-Fraenkel set theory all mathematical objects are sets so each member of X is itself a set.] The Axiom of Choice (AC) is one of the most discussed axioms of mathematics, perhaps second only to Euclid's parallel postulate. The axioms of set theory provide a foundation for modern mathematics in the same way that Euclid's five postulates provided a foundation for Euclidean geometry, and the questions surrounding AC are the same as the questions that surrounded Euclid's Parallel Postulate:
  • Can it be derived from the other axioms?
  • Is it consistent with the other axioms?
  • Should we accept it as an axiom?

Unsolved Problems Hilbert's Problems Hilbert's problems are a set of (originally) unsolved problems in mathematics proposed by Hilbert . Of the 23 total appearing in the printed address, ten were actually presented at the Second International Congress in Paris on August 8, 1900. In particular, the problems presented by Hilbert were 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 13, 16, 19, 21, and 22 (Derbyshire 2004, p. 377). Furthermore, the final list of 23 problems omitted one additional problem on proof theory (Thiele 2001). Hilbert's problems were designed to serve as examples for the kinds of problems whose solutions would lead to the furthering of disciplines in mathematics. As such, some were areas for investigation and therefore not strictly "problems." 1a. Is there a transfinite number between that of a

About axiom (Definition) In a nutshell, the logico-deductive method is a system of inference where conclusions (new knowledge) follow from premises (old knowledge) through the application of sound arguments (syllogisms, rules of inference). Tautologies excluded, nothing can be deduced if nothing is assumed. Axioms and postulates are the basic assumptions underlying a given body of deductive knowledge. They are accepted without demonstration. All other assertions ( theorems , if we are talking about mathematics) must be proven with the aid of the basic assumptions. The logico-deductive method was developed by the ancient Greeks, and has become the core principle of modern mathematics. However, the interpretation of mathematical knowledge has changed from ancient times to the modern, and consequently the
