SHASE is a major organization for heating, air-conditioning and sanitary engineering in Japan with a history of over 80 years.
It was established in 1917 as Heating and Refrigeration Association and changed its organization name to the Society of Domestic and Sanitary Engineering in 1927 and then to The Society of Heating, Air-Conditioning and Sanitary Engineers of Japan in 1962. It is also the only scientific society in the field of air-conditioning and sanitary engineering in Japan with more than 20,000 members all over the world as of 2001.
