While these first results were convincing to Maharishi and the volunteers who participated, over the next dozen years another forty studies, such as the one on the Lebanon war, were carried out for scientific documentation. In the Lebanon study, the predictions and publicly available measures to be used were specified in advance for scientific review boards in North America and Israel. UR ROTC named "Top Battalion" in 4 th Brigade
Congratulations to all cadre and cadets in the University of Richmond ROTC Program as it was selected as the 2004 "Top Battalion" in 4th Brigade. As the "Top Battalion" in 4th Brigade, the UR program was selected as the best program out of 19 senior Army ROTC programs in Virginia and North Carolina . There are 14 brigades in Cadet Command. Selection for the award was determined by a number of factors to include the number of second lieutenants commissioned and the quality of those lieutenants as determined by the national order of merit list. Congratulations to each of you who made this program one of the best in the nation for 2004!!!
21 of 21 Graduating UR ROTC Cadets Receive First Branch Choice!!!
Congratulations to our 21 MSIV cadets who received their branch assignments. Branch assignments were determined by a combination of each cadet's ranking on the national order of merit list and the needs of the Army. Of the 21, each one received his/her first branch choice. Of the 21 cadets, 20 received their first choice of Active Duty, US Army Reserve and VA Army National Guard (13 - Active Duty; 8 - VA Army National Guard). The high percentage of those cadets who received their top component and branch choice is a direct reflection on the quality of cadets that are in the UR ROTC program. Cadets were scored based on numerous criteria to include their academic Cumulative Grade Point Average, physical fitness test scores and leadership abilities. A large part of the cadet's ranking was determined at the national Leader Development and Assessment Course (LDAC) at Fort Lewis, WA.

Center for Advanced Military Science (CAMS) The goal of the Center for Advanced Military Science (CAMS) is to assist the United States military in fulfilling its ideal mission: to ensure victory before war by preventing enemies from arising. The well-being of United States citizens depends in many ways upon the effectiveness of our military, which in turn depends upon the effectiveness of overall military personnel resources. Therefore, the capacity, creativity, and capability of all military personnel are of paramount importance. The military's job is to create and maintain order in society. The military's most important job is to protect the well-being and evolution of all Americans. The goal of CAMS is to move the U.S. military from the use of destructive means of creating and maintaining order in society to the use of creative, nourishing, and life-supporting means of creating societal order through Maharishi's Invincible Defense Technology. CAMS educates military and civilian officials about Invincible Defense Technology through meetings, workshops, and conferences. These provides decision-makers with a forum for high-level interchange to introduce them to the concepts of Maharishi's Absolute Theory of Defense and to educate them on the strategic and personal benefits gained from the practice the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programs.
