Altivec merge
Submitted by Seppel on April 19, 2005 - 19:30, GMT +0200. We finally merged the altivec-branch into the main CVS tree. That means you can now use the G4 emulation with the standard CVS tree. You can also expect the 0.4 release soon. To enable altivec emulation you have to set the entry in your config file.
PearPC 0.3.1
Submitted by Seppel on September 5, 2004 - 19:30, GMT +0200. This is mainly a maintaince release fixing some wrong/unimplemented keyboard mappings, a JITC bug preventing Java applications to run and a partition table problem. Additionally the BEOS port was updated. Important note: This release fixes an ugly partition mapping bug which prevented PearPC to boot OpenDarwin. But the fix might cause regressions: so if your image is no longer booting and you can compile pearpc yourself, please talk to the pearpc-devel mailing list Full ChangeLog Downloads Config file format

For the designers of the building, Rauno Lehtinen, Pekka Mäki and Toni Peltola, it was their first built work and only one of them had managed to complete his architecture degree by the time the building was finished. The commission had been given to them through a competition, the traditional way for young architects to get started in Finland. Such competitions have given architecture greater vigour and often elicited an international response, as well.

Architecture Canada by Tuns Press Canada's architects and designers, according to Adrienne Clarkson, Governor General of Canada, "engage in the continual dialogue between nature and intense urban modernity and offer solutions that range from the whimsical to the visionary. Most remarkably, we see in their work the emergence of a national style that strives, through excellence and innovation, towards the vigorous cultivation of beauty." Here are two of the 12 recipients of the Governor General’s 2002 Medals in Architecture, recognizing excellence in the art of architecture. — Editor The City of Richmond, British Columbia, is a rapidly developing suburban municipality, immediately south of Vancouver. The new city hall by Hotson Bakker Architects and Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg Architects is a significant civic place for this multicultural community. The 120,000 square foot (11,000-square-meter) building also serves as an ambitious model for a healthy workplace and sustainable environmental design. The massing of the principal architectural elements — administrative tower, council chamber, and meeting house — creates a clear visual presence. A pedestrian court to the north addresses the public parking area, and a glass-covered pergola connects this court to community and recreational facilities west of city hall.
