Welcome to this unique site all about tenpin bowling. It is not just bowling science anymore, but anything to do with bowling.
Bowling Science
Despite the popularity tenpin bowling around the world, the application of scientific principles to the sport is relatively new and for many is an untapped resource. For years people have relied on trial and error and non-scientific coaching principles to fine tune their bowling. Sport Science has been a rapidly developing area of the sciences, and many other sports have been quick to use it to their advantage. The sport of Tenpin is beginning to understand how sport science can be of assistance, and this site is part of this revolution. This site compiles expertise from the many different disciplines of sport science. The information is provided by several sport scientists activly working with the sport.

Internships in Clinical Exercise Science
Welcome to the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences
  • Athletic training/exercise science: This major emphasizes the prevention, care, and management of athletic injuries; it therefore addresses the national need for better care of athletes and the physically active. Athletic trainers work under the direction of physicians in many settings, including high schools, colleges, professional sports programs, hospitals, fitness centers, industry, and sports medicine clinics. Clinical exercise science: This major provides students with the knowledge and skills to assess physical function and to prescribe exercise for athletes, healthy individuals, and/or those with functional deficits that persist following illness, injury, or postsurgical rehabilitation. In a variety of settings (e.g., athletic, clinical, private, corporate, hospital), a CES-trained exercise professional will use exercise as a modality to help prevent or address chronic lifestyle diseases, such as cardiovascular or pulmonary disease, diabetes, and hypertension. Graduates may also choose to work with athletes to improve fitness and performance.
