Public Access Bondi Surf Bathers' Life Saving Club Surf Safety Lifesaving Competition Administration Membership Junior Activities Committee (Nippers) Welcome to the website of the Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club. Officially recognised as the world's first surf lifesaving club we have had a long and proud history. Bondi members invented the surf reel and many other icons of lifesaving and has had the largest rescue ever on a single day - "Black Sunday"
Because Bondi is one of the best known beaches in Australia, the number of visitors each year create a range of lifesaving situations - from water and rock rescue to beach accidents and normal medical crises. We draw on sophisticated support from offshore rescue vessels, helicopters, ambulance and police rescue.
Club members are encouraged to join this website by clicking on the "Click To Join" button at the top of this page. Membership payments can now be made, securely, 'on line'. Please insert all your personal details, including email address, and you will receive notification of activities and updates regularly through the 'Bondi Surfer' club email. Situated in Maranui, Wellington, New Zealand, Maranui Surf Life Saving Club has been providing surf life saving services to the Wellington City community since 1911. Lyall Bay is Wellington City's only surf beach and an artificial reef is planned for the near future. But for now, the Bay is home to lifesavers, surfers, windsurfers, jet-skiers, swimmers and fisherman. Portreath Surf Life Saving Club Portreath Surf Life Saving Club was founded in 1958 and each summer since then its members have given up their spare time to patrol the popular holiday beach on the north Cornish coast.
The club has a record that few others can match. Its members have won bravery awards for putting their lives at risk, others have been selected for British and English teams while many of the young people it has trained have become professional lifeguards in Cornwall and overseas.

Welcome to the Lorne Surf Life Saving Club, home to the world's largest open water swim, the Lorne Pier to Pub. We are one of Australia's proudest surf life saving clubs - providing voluntary patrols of the Lorne surf beach in Summer so that swimmers and surfers can enjoy the ocean and surf safely and enjoy their holidays.

2008 Events
Australia’s best surf swimmers, celebrities, politicians, and recreational athletes, of all ages and abilities gathered for a weekend of participation and competition, fun and fitness at the 2008 nib Lorne Mountain to Surf and Pier to Pub event. High temperatures and testing conditions for this year’s run didn’t stop Olympic distance runner Georgie Clarke and international duathlete James Attard from taking out the 26th edition of the nib Lorne Mountain to Surf event. The action continued as more than 20,000 spectators lined Lorne's foreshore for the 28th edition of the nib Lorne Pier to Pub on Saturday.

Bantham Surf Life Saving Club
