Protective Behavior Training
Starting in 2008 all Class A volunteers for Special Olympics Tennessee will be required to complete a short online training course on protective behaviors. Once completed a notification will be sent to the Tennessee State Office. Below is the link to begin the course:

Special Olympics Iowa (SOIA) is a statewide non-profit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Special Olympics Iowa has served Iowans with intellectual disabilities for over 39 years. With the founding of Special Olympics in 1968, the first competition in Iowa had fewer than 100 participating athletes. The growth of the program has been dramatic. Currently, Special Olympics Iowa provides training and competition in 22 sports for more than 13,000 athletes representing each of Iowa’s 99 counties.
