Today's gadget has no electronics, isn't connected to any network, and still beats most other gadgets in its design, usability, and ingenious concept. I am talking about the Brenter Snowbike , which is somewhat of a cross between a mountain bike and skis. I had the opportunity today to try the snowbike for 2 hours and enjoyed the experience greatly: As a matter of fact, I had so much fun, that I am going to rent a snowbike all day tomorrow and have some more fun on the slopes. Driving a snowbike is incredibly easy to learn - provided you already have mastered two other skills previously: skiing and riding a bike. After two test runs on the beginner slope we went up the mountain and on the regular slopes and had a blast. In a timed run, I was skiing downhill on the bike at a speed of 48 km/h (30 mph). Snowbike is a sport for the devils. The snowbike is like a bike, but without the wheels. There are skis under the bike. On the feet, we have little skis too. In front and at the back are the shock absorbers. The saddle are longer than the saddle on a Mountainbike. We drive the bike on the same courses as the snowboarders or the skiers. Snowbiking is not more dangerous than skiing. Because we have the shock absorbers, we have no problems with the back. Racing drivers Then, in December, we begin the worls cup season. We have about sixteen world cup races in eight destinations. Then, once a year, we have the world championchip for one week. We have the same races as the skiers: slalom, giant-slalom, super-G, downhill-race and parallel-slalom. In the downhill-race we have the speed up to 100 km/h. History The birthday of the skibob goes back to the 19 th century. In 1892 an American, Stevens, was registered a patent for a “one lane sled with handlebars”. Development was never finished. In 1911 “the velogemel” was patented in Grindelwald (CH). Since 1950, the skibob continued to be developed.

It is a downhill only machine and if you like bikes a lot, then it will probably keep a stupid grin plastered on your face all the way down whatever crazy hills you choose to take it on.
