Skeleton
Skeleton is a visual scripting environment as an extension of Squeak etoy with Connectors system to make mathematical and physical simulation for non professional computer user. Squeak etoy system is a unique attempt to provide effective way of programming for children in learning environment. Skeleton makes logical relationships among graphical objects in the etoy system with spreadsheets-style interface, and users can describe object¡Çs behavior in declarative representation.

Archaeological Dig Uncovers Ancient Race Of Skeleton People
Enlarge Image An archaeologist examines the intact remains of a spooky "skeleton person." "This is an incredible find," said Dr. Christian Hutchins, Oxford University archaeologist and head of the dig team. "Imagine: At one time, this entire area was filled with spooky, bony, walking skeletons." "The implications are staggering," Hutchins continued. "We now know that the skeletons we see in horror films and on Halloween are not mere products of the imagination, but actually lived on Earth." Standing at the excavation site, a 20-by-20-foot square pit along the Nile River, Hutchins noted key elements of the find. "The skeletons lived in this mud-brick structure, which, based on what we know of these people, was probably haunted," he said. "Although we found crude cooking utensils in the area, as well as evidence of crafts like pottery and weaving, we are inclined to believe that the skeletons' chief activity was jumping out at nearby humans and scaring them. And though we know little of their language and means of communication, it is likely that they said 'boogedy-boogedy' a lot."

Straight skeleton of a simple polygon
Franz Aurenhammer
The straight skeleton of a simple polygon is defined by shrinking the polygon by translating each of its edges at a fixed rate, keeping sharp corners at the reflex vertices, and watching where the vertices go. The straight skeleton is quite similar to the medial axis; in fact, the two are equivalent for convex polygons. However, the straight skeleton of a nonconvex polygon has fewer edges than the medial axis, and all its edges are line segments; the medial axis also has parabolic arcs around each reflex vertex. On the other hand, unlike the medial axis, the straight skeleton is not a Voronoi diagram in any sense. The straight skeleton can be used to construct a polygonal roof over a set of ground walls [1], reconstruct a geographical terrain from a river map, or define a pattern of of folds that will make all the edges of a paper polygon colinear (although this last property is true of other "bisector graphs" [1] as well; see also [6]). The definition of straight skeleton can be generalized to arbitrary planar straight line graphs [2], where it has (potential) applications to planar motion planning, and to three-dimensional polyhedra, where it has potential applications to solid modelling. Although the medial axis can be constructed in linear time [3], the fastest known algorithms for stright skeletons are much slower. The main difficulty is that changing the positions or angles of reflex vertices has a significant non-local effect on the skeleton. This nonlocality makes techniques such as incremental construction or divide-and-conquer fail. The following table lists the time and space bounds of various algorithms. Here

Based on the previous menu but a change of style so that it 'works' well over darker backgrounds. The widths of the dropdown and the flyout sub menus are not fixed and will be as wide as is necessary to hold the text on one line. The position of the flyouts is then placed at a 'percentage' position from the previous level to give a fixed overlap. Well in all browsers except IE5.x and IE6 it works like this. These two browsers are the ones that have caused all the problems in getting this menu to work and I have had to settle for a comprimise solution. For IE5.x and IE6 the positions of the flyouts will be variable depending on the width of the previous link. In practice this works quite well and does not look odd.

CCK Content Paging Utility ... agentrickard - June 17, 2007 - 16:05 The Skeleton module works with the core Book module to create pre-configured outlines that can
be reused. Those outlines can include any node type, including those defined by CCK. After creating a skeleton and assigning templates to it, users with the proper permission
will be able to create new books that clone the outline and content of the skeleton. The original use-case of this module is for publishing on an intranet site, where it is important to create
the same information structure repeatedly. The skeleton module is designed to make this repetitive task
easy to perform especially for non-technical site administrators. The Skeleton module integrates with Node Access module to allow preset access rules to new book pages. I am looking for a co-maintainer Note: The Node Template module does much of what Skeleton does . The two modules differ in the interface and data management. West Coast Recreation Area and Skeleton Coast Namibia
The C34 leads from Swakopmund along the coast towards the north into the so-called "National West Coast Tourist Recreation Area". It is particularly popular with fishermen but the scenery is quite monotonous. It is often foggy, the road slippery and unsafe. After 70 kilometres, you get to the little fishing village of Hentiesbaai. The relatively young town, with its colourful holiday houses situated at the mouth of the Omaruru River, forms the centre of deep-sea fishing. It is especially crowded during the South African and Namibian school holidays. 61 kilometres further north, lies Cape Cross. The Portuguese seafarer Diego C£o, in 1486, was the first European to land here and he put up a Padrao (cross) in honour of the king of Portugal. An enormous colony of 100 000 seals, has established itself at Cape Cross After a further 64 kilometres, you will reach the mouth of the Ugab Rivier. This marks the start of Namibia's Skeleton Coast and since 1971, it has been protected as the Skeleton Coast National Park, which stretches up to the Kunene River at the Angolan border. The southern part of this conservation area - up to Terrace Bay - is only freely accessible with a permit. The northern part can only be visited with a private safari company

What would happen if humans didn't have bones?

You'd be floppy like a beanbag. Could you stand up? Forget it. Could you walk? No way. Without bones you'd be just a puddle of skin and guts on the floor.
Bones have two purposes. Some, like your backbone, provide the structure which enables you to stand erect instead of lying like a puddle on the floor. Other bones protect the delicate, and sometimes soft, insides of your body. Your skull, a series of fused bones, acts like a hard protective helmet for your brain. The bones, or vertebrae, of your spinal column surround your spinal cord, a complex bundle of nerves. Imagine what could happen to your heart and lungs without the protective armor of your rib cage!
How many bones do humans have?
