Trail Blog Lake Chelan Nordic Home Page See our updated Trail Map The Lake Chelan Nordic Ski Club was formed to promote the enjoyment and education of Nordic and cross-country skiing in the Lake Chelan Valley. We work cooperatively with the Chelan Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest to maintain Nordic ski trails at the Echo Ridge Winter Recreation Area for both classic and skate skiiers. The skiing conditions are FANTASTIC right now with lots of powder snow, perfect temperatures and great grooming. All trails are open and offer something for every level of nordic skiier. If you are looking for the best nordic experience in the state of Washington make sure you visit ECHO RIDGE at Lake Chelan. FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS We received a 2000 dollar grant this year from the Lake Chelan Rotary Club and are in the process of raising additional funds to purchase a yurt that will be used as a warming hut. We want to get a 30 food diameter yurt and the cost is going to be about 10,000 dollars in all. This will take the area to the next level and any help you can provide to make this a reality sooner than later would be wonderful. We are putting together an all new Echo Ridge Trail Guide.
