At A.K.K.A., we hold to firm principles: FIRST: that control and rule within the martial arts rests with those who have dedicated their lives to the study and teaching of the arts in their most complete and correct form. It is self-evident that people fear what they do not understand. Fear and ignorance inevitably lead to irrational actions such as the use of brute force. When you replace ignorance with understanding, you create confidence and the ability to build from a solid foundation. SECOND: that as new and competent practitioners arise within the ranks of the martial arts, in particular, Chinese Kenpo, their experience and counsel shall be added to the overall plan of A.K.K.A. Karate USA. THIRD: that the constant and energetic practice of these arts is of noteworthy and lasting physical and mental value, and can be a life-long pursuit. AKKA is a highly motivated, success-minded and goal-orientated professional Karate organization that is totally committed to the students enrolled in its academies. It extends to students all the benefits Karate has to offer through a systematized, charted, belt-goal oriented system. We extend our hand in friendship to those who uphold these principles and invite them to share the responsibility of preserving our historic right to self-defense and individual dignity.

84. Australian Kyokushin Home Page
Events, FAQs, photos, articles, and related information on Kyokushin karate.
http://www.australiankyokushin.com/
Since the death of Mas Oyama in April 1994, there has been an extensive dispute regarding the leadership of the International Karate Organisation (IKO), and this has had many international repercussions. In the past too, many Kyokushin luminaries left the Honbu fold for various reasons, and founded their own styles. This website seeks to illustrate, in as apolitical a manner as possible, Kyokushin and its descendants worldwide. I will make every effort to avoid passing judgement. This doesn't mean it won't happen, but so far, others have been far more judgmental than I have been.

KYOKUSHIN IS KYOKUSHIN. OSU!
Obviously, I have my allegiances, and this may well slant parts of these pages. That is unavoidable, and I make no apologies for that since these pages are, after all, also a reflection of my experience of Kyokushin karate. I do not, however, intend to fight the battles of others for them.
