Friday, July 18, 2008 and Saturday, July 19, 2008
The Portland Highland Games are a fun, family-friendly event with Scottish Highland music, dancing, piping and drumming competition, athletics, and cultural activities. We invite you and your family to this year's games. Thanks to everyone for making the 2007 Portland Highland Games a huge success! And a special "thank you" to all the volunteers, committees, sponsors and vendors who make this all happen. Always the 3rd Saturday of July. *** Announcements *** (December 2007) The Portland Highland Games Association is pleased to announce we have entered into an agreement with Active Network for the use of the EventRegister software (formerly known as SPORG). This is the same registration software system used by many of the other Highland Games in the Pacific NW. The primary advantage of this system is the use of credit card payments for both gate admission tickets as well as competitor registrations. Our plan is to have this available for full use by April, 2008. Please look for these changes on this website as we progress on this venture. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this online registration system. Thank you

rd Annual Cambridge Highland Games Failte Oirbh! Welcome To You Welcome to the Cambridge Highland Games website Reflections of 2007 Cambridge Highland Games
Our 2 nd Annual Friday night “Ceilidh” kicked of our games weekend with “ Fare Enuff” performing the old traditional songs we know and love and giving many new songs a reel Scottish twist. Folks young and old danced the night away and had a “gid auld time” Saturday, Games Day saw the start of our first annual 8 km road race, with 30 contestants winding their way through the park. The Highland Dance competition started bright and early with 253 young highland dancers from all over Canada and the United States The wee ones had lots of fun in the Children's area. Others enjoyed, the sheep dogs trial, birds of prey, the heavy events and Tug O War..........not forgetting the great Beer Tent! “A great time was had by all”
Finally, we must say a very special "Thank You" to our sponsors, our community, our organizing committee and to the many hard working volunteers. Without these people, the Cambridge Highland Games would not happen.
Remember, the 3
