I especially like bike drag racing. A couple of my family members drag race bikes. My dad, uncle, and cousin drag race. I hope to race when I get older. Whenever I go to the drag races I want to just take my dads bike and race it. This sport is a lot less safe then drag racing cars. On a bike all you have to save you is your leathers and kill switch. The leathers are not fireproof. The kill switch is a little chip that slides into a slot that kills the bike if it is pulled out. If your hand gets caught in the wind you could be pulled off the bike and possibly killed. One of the most famous drag racers was pulled off his bike when his hand came off and he died of a heart attack.

The 186 lbs of A123 Systems Nanophosphate cells The bleachers were quite full with folks that were waiting to see the KillaCycle make a pass. The bike sped by the stands, the only sound being the growl of the tire clawing for a grip on the cold track. I knew it was a fast run, but we all were completely blown away when the board lit up with 7.82 @ 168 mph. The stars aligned for us, but we could not have done this without the support and encouragement of the Jonah at A123 Systems , Jim Husted at Hi-Torque Electric , John at , Bob at NSK Bearings , Rich at Manzanita Micro , Otmar at Cafe Electric , Steve and Derek at Denver CNC , and John Bruszenski. He borrows my 1993 Kawasaki ZX11 for a few rides when his BMW R50 is laid up, and then starts talking about vintage Japanese bikes. Despite his knowledge of exotic collectible bikes, he wants my opinion of Japanese offerings. He has the vision that early, big-bore Kawasakis will soon be hot items and not just old UJMs. In the fall of 1999 he sees a bike in the back of a pickup in a fast food joint and recognizes it as an early Kawasaki. He finds the owner and asks if the bike is for sale. It is. So John and I go to Rotterdam Junction to look at it. The owner is working on it in his garage and says he wants $400 for it. Anderson Jr. the season of emergence for the Black racer Peggy Llewellnyn Llewellyn, 34, of San Antonio, Tex., was the two-wheeled version of Hamilton. In just her first season of Pro Stock Motorcycle competition in the National Hot Rod Association, Llewellyn wowed fans and experts alike by finishing fourth with 3,106 NHRA National Pro Stock Motorcycle points and one victory. She joins Todd, Harold Martin, Antron Brown, Michael Phillips, and Rendell Harris as one of the few but growing number of Black racers actively involved in professional drag racing. In fact, Brown and Phillips finished in the top 20 in NHRA Pro Stock points: Brown with 708 (10th) and Phillips with 397 (15th). Llewellyn competed in local drag bike competition in Texas in 2001 on a Suzuki owned by Harry and Joann Lartrigue of Houston. She competed in six events and qualified for three.
