Mathematics Somewhere I saw the quotation " Mathematics has something that attracts people. " I'm afraid of wrong remembrance, so I will sometime retrieve the source. As the attracted one, I will introduce some topics. Possible policies are 1) little prior knowledge, 2) not too wide gap between the lines, 3) inserting concrete samples, 4) handing over something attractive. But in truth these are difficult. by A. H. Summary.
This article is concerned with the Euler's function [ ] that plays an important role in cryptograms. In the first section, we present some selected theorems on integers. Next, we define the Euler's function. Finally, three theorems relating to the Euler's function are proved. The third theorem concerns two relatively prime integers which make up the Euler's function parameter. In the public key cryptography these two integer values are used as public and secret keys.
