Jean's been around quite a few TV shows now, most of them animated, including The Critic and The PJs . He was also a producer for one season on It's Garry Shandling's Show Keeping The Simpsons going after all this time isn't easy, and he admits it's getting tougher to come up with new ideas, but the show remains popular. Al Jean was the show runner for the third and fourth seasons of the show, meaning it was his responsibility to get it done. For his efforts, he won four Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award.
