Oktober in Breslau ) ist ein deutscher Nobelpreistr¤ger Volkswirt Mathematiker und Esperantist Nach Studium der Mathematik und Promotion in Volkswirtschaft in Frankfurt am Main lehrte er von bis an der Freien Universit¤t Berlin und von bis an der Universit¤t Bielefeld . AnschlieŸend nahm er einen Ruf an die Universit¤t Bonn an. Dort baute er das Laboratorium f¼r experimentelle Wirtschaftsforschung auf. wurde Selten f¼r seinen Beitrag in der Spieltheorie der Nobelpreis f¼r Wirtschaftswissenschaften verliehen, zusammen mit John Harsanyi und John Forbes Nash jr. Er ist auŸerdem f¼r sein Arbeiten im Bereich der Eingeschr¤nkten Rationalit¤t bekannt und er kann als einer der Begr¼nder der experimentellen –konomie betrachtet werden.
