Next Levy's Departmant Store in Birmingham, Alabama Author: Peggy Gross Date: 4 Apr 2005 8:30 PM GMT Surnames: Levy, Lishkoff, Goldstein, Raphael, Weslock, Kessler Classification: Query Post Reply Mark Unread Report Abuse Print Message My great grandmother, Celia Raphael Levy, her daughter, Josephine Raphael, my Great Uncles Isaac, Louis, and Israel all moved to Birmingham Alabama in the 1920.s, 30.s and 40.s. Celia and her husband Hyman Levy had lived in Poland under German rule before WWI, and come to the U.S. In the 1870's. Other children lstayed in Philadelphia PA and Brooklyn NY. Isaac started a woman's clothing store called 'Levy's" that ended up being quite successful. I would appreciate any obituaries, marriage notices or birth notices for the family, ( or to hear from any relatives). Thank you Post Reply Mark Unread Report Abuse Print Message ...
