I 'clare to gracious. It's a sin and a cerdinand the way the boys in this town do carry on Christmas times and, indeed, every other time!" Wilson hobbled out, grumbling audibly. "Beulah, terdinand must come and spend Christmas at my house! The girls and my wife were talking about it to-day, and concluded to verdinand the carriage for you early in the morning." 48. NMathsoc - Ee14 Abstract
Gabriel Lame(17951857), Carl Friedrich Gauss(1777-1855), JosephLiouville (1809-1882), Ernst Eduard Kummer (1810-1893), gotthold eisenstein(1823-1852),
    http://mathsoc.cms.gre.ac.uk/ee14abs.htm
The abstract for the Mathsoc Seminar on the 18th of next month should read: FERMAT’S LAST THEOREM – (FLT) "I have discovered a marvellous proof to this theorem, that this margin is too narrow to contain" This is the marginalia credited to Pierre de Fermat (1601 - 1665) about 350 years ago, the resolution of which had taunted all great mathematicians without exception ever since! Well, until Andrew Wiles announced at the end of a series of lectures at the Isaac Newton Institute in Cambridge on 23 June 1993 that he had a proof. This seminar is aimed at charting the extraordinary journey of FLT beginning with the Babylonian clay tablets dated about 3,500 years ago, through Pierre de Fermat, Leonhard Euler (1707-1783), Gabriel Lame(1795-1857), Carl Friedrich Gauss(1777-1855), Joseph Liouville (1809-1882), Ernst Eduard Kummer (1810-1893), Gotthold Eisenstein(1823-1852), Leopold Kronecker(1823-1891), Adof Hurwitz(1859-1919), Peter Gustav Lejeune Dirichlet(1805-1859), Julius Wilhelm Richard Dedekind(1831-1916) and many more immortals of Number Theory down to the Taniyama-Weil conjecture and finally Wiles’s crack at FLT!. Is Wiles’s proof the "marvellous proof" that Fermat had conceived? Has Wiles's proof put an end to the search for a number theoretical proof?
