  • Tempest Fantasia Tempest Fantasy is a musical meditation on various characters, moods, situations, and lines of text from my favorite Shakespeare play, The Tempest. Rather than trying to depict these elements in programmatic terms, the music simply uses them as points of departure for flights of purely musical fancy.
The first three movements spring from the nature and selected speeches of the three eponymous individuals. The fourth movement begins from Caliban's uncharacteristically elegant speech from Act III, scene 2:
"Be not afeard: the isle is full of noises, Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight, and hurt not." The fifth movement is the most "fantastic" flight of all, elaborating on the numerous musical strands of the previous movements and drawing them all together into a convivial finale.
Tempest Fantasy is dedicated with great admiration and affection to David Krakauer and the members of Trio Solisti.

Abstract. Objectives of the project which concerns electronic archiving of old manuscripts and books and their publishing in electronic phototype form are discussed in this paper. Key words . Digitization, scientific heritage, cultural heritage, virtual library
    1. Introduction
The overall aim for the digital library is to create a comprehensive and semantically interconnected collection of retro-digitized books and other digital documents. Objectives of the project include electronic archiving of old manuscripts and books, their publishing in electronic phototype form and finally presentation to the general audience. Our proposal is mathematically inclined, more specifically, the project is concerned with digitization of old books and other manuscripts satisfying the following criteria:
  • Books and other manuscripts contained in Serbian public and semi-open libraries. By a semi-open library we mean any departmental library and private collections of books. Books and manuscripts selected for digitization should be related with mathematical sciences: mathematics, mechanics, astronomy, physics and mathematical geography. Books considered for digitization had to be published before certain date in the past. We have chosen for this date the beginning of the Second World War (1941).

Karl Krolow and Paul Celan figure in literary history as two of too few German-language poets whose work signaled a new direction for the genre in the early postwar period. The work of both poets reflected and refracted German traditions such as Naturlyrik through the prism of European modernism, through French surrealism in particular, and accordingly, both represented a sharp departure from familiar poetic practice and a cosmopolitan openness to new impulses. Both published celebrated volumes of poetry in 1952 with the Deutsche Verlagsanstalt in Stuttgart: Celan's and Krolow's Die Zeichen der Welt , and both poets were also introduced in person to the German reading public also in 1952, along with Ingeborg Bachmann, at the Gruppe 47 meeting in Niendorf: there and then, that trio constituted the 'new wave' of poetry in German for the 1950's.
Die Struktur der modernen Lyrik .[2] Oddly, his relation to Celan has received virtually no attention in the vast and detailed literature on Celan, but their relationship is instructive about the tensions in the genre during the postwar period.
With an eye on the narrowness of German Naturlyrik

The Austrian contribution to modern German-language literature has been both rich and varied, embracing major novelists (Kafka, Musil), dramatists (Schnitzler, Bernhard), and poets (Rilke, Celan) of international repute. The Ingeborg Bachmann Centre, established at the Institute the Austrian Cultural Forum, London seeks to explore this contribution with writers-in-residence and through a programme of lectures, seminars, workshops and reading groups co-ordinated by an Austrian Lektor. The outcome of an innovative form of cross-institutional co-operation, this exciting academic initiative concentrates on Austrian literature of the twentieth century, focusing above all on developments from 1945 onwards and taking as its figurehead Ingeborg Bachmann, whose poem 'Abschied von England' encapsulates the challenge presented by other cultures and the difficulty of comprehending them.

Without an architecture that is appropriate for the problem being solved, the project will stumble along or, most likely, fail. Even with a superb architecture, if that architecture is not well understood or well communicated?in other words, well documented?the project cannot be considered a complete success. Although architecture is now widely recognized as a critical element in software development, there has been little guidance independent of language or notation on how to capture it. Based on the authors' extensive experience, Documenting Software Architectures helps you decide what information to document, and then, with guidelines and examples (in various notations, including UML), shows you how to express an architecture in a form that everyone can understand. If you go to the trouble of creating a strong architecture, you must also be prepared to describe it thoroughly and clearly, and to organize it so that others can quickly find the information they need.
