Click on links in frame at left for review questions, sample quizzes, and other class information Course Description: The Earth is made of minerals. Assemblages of minerals (= rocks) can be used to interpret how the Earth formed and how it has evolved through time. Minerals are also important for understanding present-day Earth processes and environments, and of course minerals have many practical uses as well. There is no aspect of the Earth sciences, and few aspects of your daily life, that do not in some way involve minerals. Course grade:
Final class grade = lab quizzes (2 @ 15% each) homework (4) cumulative final exam IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT QUIZZES AND EXAMS Students who are traveling for official university activities (e.g., athletic events) on an exam day must provide this information to me at least one week before a quiz or exam.
