Welcome
Experimental High Energy Physics is a research department at the  Faculty of Science of the Radboud University Nijmegen. It is a constituent of the "Institute for Mathematics, Astrophysics and Particle Physics" IMAPP and a partner of the "Research School Subatomic Physics" OSAF The department is participating in the ATLAS   experiment ( CERN Fermilab ), and the Pierre Auger Observatory (Argentina).  Nijmegen is the initiator of the HiSPARC project to measure extended air showers due to cosmic particles at ultra high energy in collaboration with highschools. Some history: Experimental High Energy Physics was a participant in the CERN experiments EHS-NA22  and  and was a constituent of the former "High Energy Physics Institute" HEFIN The Radboud University is one of the partners in the Dutch joint venture "National Institute for High Energy and Nuclear Physics" NIKHEF How to get there

6 September 2007 The Out of Hours register is now online for people working in the lab outside normal hours. It is mandatory to use the system. 27 March 2007 The Hunt the Higgs game is available. HEP Group members and contact information . Come and see what we look like, and how to get in touch. How to find us at the Cavendish Laboratory (updated information 4 October 2005) and staying in Cambridge. How to apply to be a Graduate Student. An overview of our research in both experimental and theoretical particle physics. Seminars and Graduate Lectures (Updated 23 January 2008) with Seminars for Lent Term 2008, Joint DAMTP-Cavendish Seminar list and Graduate Lectures for 2007-2008. The Computing resources page (Revised 25 January 2007 and after). Any posts on offer within the group? Check out our Jobs Page. (Updated 19 January 2007.) Health and Safety issues. High Energy Physics
24 Jan 2008 High energy particle physics is about looking at extremely small sizes, or equivalently at extremely high energies. It teaches us about the underlying nature of the physical universe, and the forces and laws that govern its development, from the first moments of the big bang, through to the present day, and far into the future.
