Archaeology: Unearthing History
Many people think of archaeologists as Indiana Jones-like people - always venturing out on exciting journeys while searching for hidden treasures. Instead, archaeologists are those researchers who go directly to the source and analyze ancient cultures through artifacts, inscriptions, and other remains. As humans, we rely on archaeology as one of the main sources of uncovering history. Churches of Revelation Video Evidence for Jesus Video Seven Churches in Revelation Ark Of The Covenant ... Archaeology is the study of the human past. Its initial objective is the construction of cultural chronology. Its intermediate objective is the reconstruction of past lifeways. Its ultimate objective is the discovery of the processes which underlie and condition human behavior.
  • Archaeological Analysis: Pieces of the Past
Historic Archaeology is the study of people who lived during the past 200 years or so by looking at the artifacts they left behind. An artifact is anything made or used by people. An artifact can be anything from a 10,000 year old stone tool, to the pop can you recycled after yesterday's lunch.
  • What is Archaeology
Archaeology is the scientific study of peoples of the past... their culture and their relationship with their environment. The purpose of archaeology is to understand how humans in the past interacted with their environment, and to preserve this history for present and future learning.

    Archaeology in Albania
During the XIX century Albania was "invaded" by foreign archaeologists. The first National Archaeological Museum was established in 1948, and then sistenatic research began in Apollonia. Archaeology in Albania is rich of information and it is very important for many conferences and also written in many books. There are many testimonials of prehistoric human beings living in Albanian territories and also of some prehistorical houses. The region of Korca, in South -Eastern Albania is the most-known. Testimonials about the Illyrian period are in many and they are clear. Research in Durres and Apolonia, Butrint and Ardenitza verify the Illyrian existence in Albanian territories.
