Description
The articles in TrAC are concise overviews of new developments in analytical chemistry, and are aimed at helping analytical chemists and other users of analytical techniques explore and orient themselves in fields outside of their particular specialization(s). The reviews form an excellent introduction to topics of interest in numerous fields including: biochemistry, biotechnology, clinical chemistry, environmental monitoring, instrumentation, forensic science, laboratory automation, materials science, pharmaceutical chemistry and surface science.
Issues contain: news, meeting reports; a computer corner presenting useful tips for getting the most out of a lab computer; short, critical invited review articles aimed at an interdisciplinary readership; book and software reviews; and meeting announcements. The

FACSS, the Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies, conference is an annual meeting that covers the whole of analytical chemistry with an emphasis on spectroscopy. FACSS has a proud tradition of bringing together leading scientists across many disciplines for scientific exchange. This is accomplished through a world-class technical program exhibition , and a variety of informal networking opportunities
The Federation was founded in order to combine many small meetings, previously organized by individual societies, into an annual meeting that covers the whole of analytical chemistry. The affiliate organizations of FACSS are ACS-Analytical Division ANACHEM American Society for Mass Spectrometry Coblentz ... Royal Society of Chemistry , and the Society for Applied Spectroscopy The FACSS conference has also been established as the National Meeting for the Society for Applied Spectroscopy.

The scope of the International Journal of Environmental Analytical Chemistry comprises such subjects as original research on all aspects of analytical work related to environmental problems such as analysis of organic, inorganic and radioactive pollutants in air and water; determination of harmful substances, including their metabolic breakdown products; and analytical methods for metabolic breakdown patterns or other chemical degradation patterns in the environment and in biological samples. The journal also covers the development of new analytical methods or improvement of existing ones useful for the control and investigation of pollutants or trace amounts of naturally occurring active chemicals in the environment, or methods that help to gain more insight into our environment. Development, modification and automation of instruments and techniques with potential in environment sciences are also part of the journal.
