Kelly's full theory of personal constructs is very detailed but its main points are:
Our construct systems make our world more predictable:
We use our construct systems to make the world easier to find our way around. Because we know that countries closer to the Equator are hotter than those at the Poles, we can make a better job of packing what to take to a journey to Mexico. Because we know that cars built in the 1970's were not built with economy in mind, we know better than to make fuel consumption the deciding criterion when looking to buy an old banger. If we know that when our partner behaves in a particular way it usually means that they're feeling preoccupied, or loving, or harassed, then we adjust our expectations and our behaviour accordingly. Our construct systems reflect our constant efforts to make sense of our world, just as scientists make sense of their subject-matter: we observe, we draw conclusions about patterns of cause and effect, and we behave according to those conclusions.

An experimental approach to nonlinear dynamics and chaos
by
Nicholas B. Tufillaro, Jeremiah Reilly, and Tyler Abbott
An Experimental Approach to Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos is a textbook and a reference work designed for advanced undergraduate and beginning graduate students. This book provides an elementary introduction to the basic theoretical and experimental tools necessary to begin research into the nonlinear behavior of mechanical, electrical, optical, and other systems. A focus of the text is the description of several desktop experiments, such as the nonlinear vibrations of a current-carrying wire placed between the poles of an electromagnet and the chaotic patterns of a ball bouncing on a vibrating table. Each of these experiments is ideally suited for the small-scale environment of an undergraduate science laboratory. In addition, the book includes software that simulates several systems described in this text. The software provides the student with the opportunity to immediately explore nonlinear phenomena outside of the laboratory. The feedback of the interactive computer simulations enhances the learning process by promoting the formation and testing of experimental hypotheses. Taken together, the text and associated software provide a hands-on introduction to recent theoretical and experimental discoveries in nonlinear dynamics. Studies of nonlinear systems are truly interdisciplinary, ranging from experimental analyses of the rhythms of the human heart and brain to attempts at weather prediction. Similarly, the tools needed to analyze nonlinear systems are also interdisciplinary and include techniques and methodologies from all the sciences. The tools presented in the text include those of:

STEREOLOGER : the theory and practice of modern unbiased stereology at your fingertips.
Introduction to Unbiased Stereology
In the scientific method, a researcher will pose a hypothesis and then collect data to test the hypothesis. Medical researchers usually collect information about the number, length, surface area, and volume of specific aspects of their specimens for comparison. By examining and comparing these quantities, researchers can prove or disprove a hypothesis. However, an experiment can only be considered valid if the data have been collected in a reliable and unbiased manner. Recently, several prominent journals have strongly recommended collection of information using unbiased methods.
Unbiased Method
Stereology is an accepted unbiased method for collecting information about the number, length, surface area, and volume of specimen attributes. The method is unbiased in part because no underlying assumption is made about the structure being studied. The method relies on systematic uniform random (SUR) sampling of the specimen, which yields an accurate estimate of the characteristic being sampled. SUR sampling is sampling in which a start location for data collection is randomly determined; from that point, sampling is uniform. For example, you may want to select 4 cards from a 52-card deck. To conduct a SUR sampling of the deck, you would pick a random start from 1 to 13 and then take that card and every thirteenth card after that (i.e., 7th, 20th, 33rd, and 46th cards).

Volvo Electrical Systems:
by Paul Grimshaw Author, The Gothenburg Bible Volvo Performance Handbook INTRODUCTION
Although most do-it-yourself mechanics feel comfortable with pliers, wrenches and ratchet, many quickly pale at the sight of test probes, ohm meters and On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) systems for this can only mean one thing electrical problem solving! Scarier still, many professional Volvo mechanics over the age of 30 have the same fear, inhibiting them from delving into electrical systems. The resulting ignorance usually leads to repair by replacement, a condition where knowledge is thin, troubleshooting non-existent, repairing by replacement is common and preparing high invoices is, well, almost certain.
Fortunately, Volvo electrical systems are fairly simple in concept and execution making them cooperative hosts for the shade-tree mechanic.
PART ONE: BASIC ELECTRICAL THEORY
All automotive electrical systems work on the common principle of charged particles (electrons) flowing throughout a closed path. These charged particles are measured according to their potential difference (voltage) and the volume, (or current) at which they flow (ampere). A unit of measure which combines the two (wattage, which equals volts x amperes) may also be used to define an electrical charge.
Electrons flow from an area of high potential (positive) to an area of low potential (negative). As previously mentioned they follow a closed path, or circuit, and drive electrical components by virtue of their voltage and amperage. Replenishment of the energy which was lost in creating work can be provided by an electrical generator.

ERRATUM
In the section below headed 'Porter's Strategic Theory', in the headings for Exhibits 4 and 5, the 'value chain' concept is attributed to Porter (1980). That should have been Porter (1985), where it is treated in depth in Chapter 2, pp. 33-61. I can find little that supports my original attribution to the 1980 book. The only relevant segments appear to be pp. 17-21 (on intensity of rivalry among existing competitors), chapter 7 on pp. 126-155 (on structural analysis within industries), and p. 207-208 (on increased value added). This matters to any historian of strategic IS theory, because the 1980 book was all about competition, and little at all about the later notion of 'collaborate to compete'.
Abstract
During the last 15 years, an area has developed within the Information Systems discipline which is generally referred to as 'strategic information systems'. It concerns itself with systems whose importance to the organisation extend beyond merely assisting it to perform its existing functions efficiently, or even just effectively. A strategic information system is instrumental in the organisation's achievement of its competitive or other strategic objectives.

Discusses the theory that religion and belief systems are genetically programmed as part of humanity's inability to cope with the fear of death.
http://www.evolutionashram.org/
A book published on the internet to discuss Evolution as a Religion
This site contains a new look at evolution. Its main text is divided into 10 chapters starting from "Introduction" and finishing with "Talks". Rather than using the normal terms employed for its description (such as selection, fitness, adaptation, and so on), it chooses the terms "genetic" and "cultural" ideas. The result is a view of evolution from a different angle and I hope that this new approach can add to our understanding of this very interesting process that underlies our existence. The site also portrays Evolution as a new belief system that is not as devoid of spiritualism as some religious people would like to make out. Going further, Evolutionism could also be seen as a rallying point for all those spiritual people whose training in logic has left them unwilling to take on the myths and dogmas of traditional religions. The Evolution Ashram may one day become a physical reality where like minded people can gather and discuss their views. If anyone is interested please write or email me at the address below.
