We put half down on two rings. Mine ended up turning out OK but my wife's ring didn't. They ordered the wrong ring and told us they'd loan us a ring for the ceremony. We put half the money down and I told them that I wanted to pay for my ring and get the remainder of the balance back. They told me they couldn't do that. I dealt the the owner, Marty Finkle the whole time. Marty was rude and belligerent. I ended up leaving with the ring five days before the wedding. That was a very hard decision to make. He still owes me $162.93. On top of that when I had my ring appraised for insurance it appraised at 25% less than what I paid for it. I had it appraised by an independent GIA certified gemologist. The ring that did come in for my wife had diamods that were gray and flat. They didn't look good at all. I have a two page account of the whole incident typed up. However, did you know that the origin of this term has deep roots in English myths and superstitions dating back to medieval times? The ring was believed to have been formed by dancing fairies, and its location a place of enchantment. Must have been some party! However, partying is the last thing on the minds of superintendents once they confront this problem on their greens or fairways (unless they feel like drowning their sorrows, so to speak)!
