Piano Giulio Zappa Giulio Zappa started his musical studies in 1980 and graduated with honours in 1993 under the guide of Oleg Marshev. He later followed the piano classes of Aldo Ciccolini (solo repertoire) and Irwin Gage (lieder and vocal chamber music repertoire). In 2001 he also graduated with honours at the University of Milan with a dissertation upon 19th century Russian opera. He won many prizes in national and international piano competitions, and in 1994 he started his career as piano accompanist for lyrical singers. He played in many italian theaters and concert halls (Verdi Hall in Conservatoire of Milan, Teatro Filarmonico and Maffeiana Hall in Verona, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Teatro Malibran in Venezia, Teatro Regio of Parma, Teatro Verdi of Pisa, Teatro Ponchielli of Cremona), in most european countries (Spain, Holland, Slovenija, Croatia, Yugoslavia, Germany, France, Switzerland) and also in Costarica, Jordan, Arabian Emirates, India and Japan. Since 1995 he has been working for the International Lyric Academy of Katia Ricciarelli, also being a frequent concert partner to the famous Italian soprano.
