I see that you have no recording of Rach's Variations on a Theme of Corelli. Have you heard it? Would you rate Alicia deLarrocha and Ruth Laredo in your list of Good and Bad? Very nice website and informative. By the way! I have a snippet of piano music which no one can seem to identify. I recorded it from a classical radio station in 1980. Then it gathered dust. Recently, I sent a tape copy of it to the station nd they are a blank. Same for Capital University here in Columbus OH. Want to try? What's your mailing address? I'll send it. I want to buy the complete recording. Thanks. Dhruva Seshadri My Email: dhrugeese@myrealbox.com

    The Issue of Data Integrity
One of the toughest duties of a software system programmer is to maintain data integrity in the course of architecture and design. What is data integrity? From Wikipedia is this explanation: In telecommunication , the term data integrity has the following meanings:
    1. [The] condition that exists when data is unchanged from its source and has not been accidentally or maliciously modified, altered, or destroyed.
    2. The condition in which data are identically maintained during any operation, such as transfer, storage, and retrieval.

      Sep 10, 2005
How does one explain, then, the enthusiastic standing ovation that Jennifer Higdon's Oboe Concerto received at the Ordway Center Friday night in its premiere performance by the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, the opening concert of the orchestra's 47th season ... And then one must add the thoroughly engrossing performance the work received Friday night by the orchestra's principal oboe, Kathryn Greenbank, for whom the work was written ... Her Oboe Concerto shares the shimmering beauty and rhythmic... (Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune)

Frequently, they talk of love. Love is hope in "Anyway," unrequited in "It Hurts Me Too," and just real life in "Gimme What You've Got." Mo's ability to understand the weariness of the soul can be found in "Mommy Can I Come Home." He sings in first person the story of a young woman beaten by her man and longing for the shelter of her ballerina-wallpapered room and her mother's love. Keb' Mo' believes that with every song there should be something real. This album is pure authenticity. John Atkinson

Fluff from September 7th and September 8th, 2003 September 7th Production News: The new Universe-backed comedy ANNA AND SHAOLIN held its opening lens ceremony yesterday on location at the Shenzhen Gymnasium. On hand were stars Miriam Yeung Chin-Wah Ekin Cheng Yi-Kin (right with Yeung), Denise Ho Wan-Si, Wong Yau-Nam of Shine, Maggie Lau Si-Wai and Mandy Chiang Nga-Man. Earlier, rumours surfaced suggesting Cheng's role in the film has been reduced because of the poor box office performance of his recent films HEROIC DUO and MY DREAM GIRL. Responding to the speculation, Cheng told reporters: "That's not what happened. I needed a few days off to go to the Venice Film Festival so they cut me out of a few scenes. Besides, I wasn't scheduled to have a scene here today but director Chan Hing-Ka added me into one. As for whether or not I can produce at the box office, you can't say on the basis of one film. There are always ups and downs in a career. Anyway, this is just how the business is. Last time there were rumours about Miriam, this time there are rumours about me." Related image:

After months of hype and build-up, Jaycee Chan (Fong Tso-Ming) made it official Wednesday as he formally signed a contract with EEG at an event in a Central district nightclub. On hand for the signing were EEG executive Ng Yu (left with Chan), Willie Chan Chi-Keung, Daniel Wu (Ng Yin-Tso), Chan's mentor music producer Jonathan Lee Chung-Sing and Chan's godmother Sally Yeh (Yip Sin-Man). Chan's mother, Lam Fung-Giu, was also present. However, she kept a very low profile and was surrounded by security. EEG boss Albert Yeung Sau-Sing and Chan's father, Jackie Chan, did not attend because they were out of town on business. Close to one hundred reporters from Hong Kong and Taiwan packed the club to see Chan sign his contract with EEG and hear him sing three of his songs. Before his performance, the unfailingly polite Chan thanked reporters for attending and expressed hope that "people get [his] songs". He also thanked "Uncle Sam Hui" for teaching him how to write lyrics. When he finished singing, his godmother, Sally Yeh, rushed up to the stage to gush about the second-generation prospect. Yeh: "When he was seven, he said he wanted to marry me. Later, I don't how it happened, I became his godmother! Before, I would be the only one he would talk to on the phone. It's not like that anymore. I hear he talks to other girls now that makes me a little bit sad."
