http://www.dickhyman.com/biography.html
DICK HYMAN Throughout a busy musical career that got underway in the early '50s, Dick Hyman has functioned as pianist, organist, arranger, music director, and, increasingly, as composer. His versatility in all of these areas has resulted in well over 100 albums recorded under his own name and many more in support of other artists. While developing a masterful facility for improvisation in his own piano style, Mr. Hyman has also investigated ragtime and the earliest periods of jazz and has researched and recorded the piano music of Scott Joplin, Jelly Roll Morton, James P. Johnson, Zez Confrey, Eubie Blake and Fats Waller which he often features in his frequent recitals. Other solo recordings include the music of Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and Duke Ellington. Some of his recordings with combos are From The Age Of Swing Swing Is Here Cheek To Cheek , and If Bix Played Gershwin , plus several duet albums with the cornetist, Ruby Braff. In a different vein, his early explorations on the Moog synthesizer have now been reissued. Mr. Hyman's concert compositions for orchestra include his

The Inman Piano Trio takes its name from the gracious Inman Park neighborhood in Atlanta. Like the neighborhood, the trio creates a unique presence by looking both to the past and to the present by featuring mainstays of the piano trio repertoire on its programs as well as newer, rarely performed works. The strong individual qualities of the Inman Piano Trio blend to form an exciting whole. Violinist Beth Newdome was appointed to the faculty of Florida State University as Assistant Professor of Violin in Fall 2002. Previously she served as Associate Concertmaster of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, where she had been a member since 1991. Her association with major orchestras in the US began with the position of Assistant Concertmaster of the Jacksonville Symphony and then followed with positions in the Columbus and Dallas Symphony Orchestras. Hailed by the Atlanta Journal Constitution as a "musician's musician", Ms Newdome enjoys an active solo and chamber music life. As a core member of the Georgian Chamber Players, she has performed with such artists as Ruth Laredo, Awadagin Pratt, Maria Bachman, Robert McDuffie and Jonathan Bass. She and Mr. Pratt have given concerts throughout the US as well as in Japan. In the summer she teaches at the Aspen Music Festival. Beth Newdome trained at the Eastman School of Music, where her teacher was Charles Castleman.

Internationally acclaimed pianist WALTER PONCE has performed around the globe as a soloist with orchestras, in solo recitals and chamber music. He has been heard in every major city of North and South America, as well as concert halls in Europe, Japan, Korea, and Africa. Of his appearance under the direction of the legendary Sir Georg Solti, the Chicago Tribune headlined "Pianist Shines with Chicago Symphony Orchestra Walter Ponce is Magical in his Chicago Symphony Debut." Born in Bolivia, Walter Ponce's musical beginnings took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he attended the National Conservatory, studying in that city's musical environment forged by teachers such as Vicente Scaramuzza and Enrique Barenboim, that produced so many outstanding pianists, from Martha Argerich to Daniel Barenboim. It is also at this time that he first met Alberto Ginastera, for whom he played many of his works, an association that continued years later in New York City, when Walter Ponce studied with Ginastera his notable piano sonata. This work was part of Ponce's New York City debut recital on the series "Introductions" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Of this remarkable debut, the New York Times concluded "Each music season brings its quota of surprises, and Walter Ponce's recital might qualify as one of the current winter crop... It all added up to an impressive showing."
