Maria Curcio, the eminent pupil of Artur Schnabel, described Angela as "a real virtuoso… with astonishing artistry" and predicted that she would be "one of the most formidable pianists, representing her country on the world stage." She has performed throughout the United States, Canada and Europe at the Salle Cortot in Paris, the Chopin Academy in Warsaw, the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto, the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., and other recital venues in Holland, Montreal, and Vancouver. The winners of 3rd International Web Concert Hall Competition Winner - Denis Shapovalov (Cello - Russia) Interview Performance Denis Shapovalov won recognition for his exceptional gift at the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition (1998), taking the 1 st prize and a gold medal as the unanimous choice of the jury. With this victory he confirmed his excellent talent, which had been marked with a special award "Best Hope" given to him at the International Chamber Music Competition in Australia 3 years before. While studying at the Special Music College of the Moscow State Conservatory, Denis Shapovalov won a prize of the International Charity Foundation "New Names". This award gave him an opportunity to display his outstanding skills in numerous European countries, performing with the Moscow Student Orchestra. The same period he made his debut at the most prestigious Russian concert stage – Big Hall of the Moscow State Conservatory. As a student of professor N.Shakhovskaya at the Conservatory, Denis participated in several national and international festivals. After appearance at the Festival of Cello Music in Moscow he became a recipient of Rostropovich Charity Foundation scholarship, chosen as a best young cellist among all of the Russian students in 1997.

Chandler Center for the Arts
Chandler Music Hall is home for the Chandler Center for the Arts, a regional arts organization that presents a series of weekend performances, an Arts in the Schools series, programming for children and families, and several locally produced events. Programming is generously supported by individuals and businesses within the wider community. The New England Foundation for the Arts and the Vermont Arts Council have offered essential funding support for many performances and projects. Several annual events, the Mud Season Talent Show, the New World Festival, the July 4th musical production, and the Central Vermont Chamber Music Festival are highlights of the season. Nearly 30 performances are offered annually. A task force of nearly 75 volunteers works with the Chandler Center for the Arts board to facilitate productions and keep the hall in good condition.
