Arno Bornkamp Arno Bornkamp(Amsterdam,1959) is the prototye of the modern virtuoso, feeling equally at home in the traditional as well as in contemporary repertoire. Since his solo debut in 1982 in Rome, where he performed the famous Concertino da Camara by Jacques Ibert, Bornkamp received many invitations as soloist in compositions by Glazunow, Ibert, Milhaud, Martin, Villa-Lobos, Schmitt and Debussy. He has also appeared as soloist in contemporary compositions by Donatoni, Francesconi, Berio, Birthwistle, Andriessen, Van Keulen, Padding en Van Onna. After completing his study with Ed Boogaard at the Conservatory of Amsterdam (1986), where he graduated with the highest honours, Bornkamp went on to study with the renowned Daniel Deffayet in Paris. Noteworthy among the many awards to have come his way are the “Silver Laurel of the Concertgebouw” and the “Music Prize of the Netherlands”. This last honour enabled Bornkamp to make a thorough study of the contemporary saxophone repertoire: he went to Bordeaux to study with Jean-Marie Londeix and to Osaka to work with Ryo Noda. He also visited composers such as Luciano Berio and Karlheinz Stockhausen. Bornkamp also has great affinity with chamber music: he gives many recitals with pianist Ivo Janssen and is a member of the Aurelia Saxophone Quartet.

She studied composition with Ruth Schonthal at the Westchester Conservatory of Music, where she received the William Petchek Scholarship. For two summers she was a scholarship student at the Tanglewood Institute. She was graduated summa cum laude from the music department of Harvard University, where her teachers included Earl Kim, Leon Kirchner and Peter Lieberson. Lann won the New York Music Teachers Association 'Herbert Zipper Prize,' the New York Musicians Club 'Bohemians Prize' and the Harvard University 'Hugh F. MacColl Prize.' She directed the Harvard Group For New Music, produced radio feature programs and was music director for productions at the American Repertory Theater. Dit om de eenvoudige reden dat de meeste nieuwe werken in de ogen van de gemiddelde muziekliefhebber een niet altijd even samenhangend, aansprekend en herkenbaar klankbeeld hebben. Het was dan ook intrigerend te lezen dat het Philips Symfonie Orkest de wereldpremière van het Concert voor piano en orkest van Roel van Oosten (1958) op het programma had staan. Al bij de eerste maten bleek dat Van Oostens werk uitermate geschikt is voor een goed amateur-orkest. Het concert volgt in opbouw volledig het klassieke patroon, geeft de piano de kans op de traditionele manier te soleren, en is qua klankidioom nauwelijks vernieuwender dan een gematigde Sjostakovitsj-symfonie.

The dancing continues with another from Rameau, this time an overture and four dances from “Nais.” James Levine leads the Chicago Symphony as Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 in G Minor takes us to a more somber place; Schumann said it had an air of “Grecian ethereal grace.” Mozart’s brief but calmly beautiful part song, “Luci care, luci belle,” follows. Het optreden vindt plaats om 20.00 uur in Zaal de Linck, ingang Muzelinck te Oss en wordt georganiseerd door Libris Boekhandel Derijks en de Bibliotheek Oss. Tussen 1986 en 1990 won hij een aantal prijzen, waaronder de Jacques Vonk Prijs, die hem in staat stelde zijn studie in het buitenland voort te zetten bij o.a. Robert Levin. Sinds zijn debuut in 1988 treedt Ivo Janssen regelmatig op in binnen- en buitenland. In 1994 begon hij in samenwerking met het Nederlands Bach Collegium aan een zeer ambitieus project. In de loop van een aantal jaren zal hij het complete werk van J.S. Bach uitvoeren en op cd zetten.

Het optreden vindt plaats om 20.00 uur in Zaal de Linck, ingang Muzelinck te Oss en wordt georganiseerd door Libris Boekhandel Derijks en de Bibliotheek Oss. Zowel in de bibliotheek als de boekhandel zijn vanaf nu toegangskaarten te koop voor € 12,50. ( uitverkocht!!!) De activiteit maakt deel uit van de Culturele Coproducties. Haar debuut, de gedichtenbundel Soldatenliederen, werd ‘het opvallendste debuut van de afgelopen jaren genoemd. Ze werd direct herkend als een dichteres met een heel eigen stem en werd uitgenodigd voor De Nacht van de Poëzie en Poetry International. Anna Enquist (1945) studeerde piano en psychologie. In Zusammenarbeit mit der Gaudeamus Foundation (The Netherlands) Sonsoles Alonso : Electrified Piano Der Höllenfranz : Hämmerklavier XVI- Moritz Eggert/ Jochen Kuhn 2003/04 This piece was commissioned by the Eclat Festival and premiered by Moritz Eggert in Stuttgart in february 2004. Sonsoles Alonso premiered it in The Netherlands in november of the same year. In this piece of Music Theater for prepared piano, the pianist becomes almost an 'übermensch' who has to manage the use of an incredible amount of 'preparations' in a musical way, to support the showing of the silent movie. Tullius Rooms - Marko Ciciliani 1999/2000 for piano, electronics, and soundscapes Tullius Rooms is a diverse musical landscape of piano sound, electronic material, singing, whistling and percussive or "performance" actions. Image de Moreau - Louis Andriessen 1999 The commission from Carnegie Hall to write a short piano work fitted with a request to write a piece for a ‘Toccata-project’ of the Dutch pianist Ivo Janssen. The toccata form was developed by Frescobaldi and Sweelinck, but became fashionable again in the early 1920s. This was the starting point for Image de Moreau, but the piece soon turns towards French late-Romanticism, the time and spirit of painters like Redon and Gustave Moreau. The paintings of Moreau combine large areas of abstraction with very sharp figurative details, faces and objects, opening up unexpected emotion
