Band History:

If you grew up listening to Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Miles Davis, Oscar Peterson, and your mother was once a singer who fronted local big bands around Los Angeles, what else? You just gotta do it; especially if you’re given the rare, textured voice that belongs to LM Pagano. On Azalea, the extraordinary Bop City debut CD of vocalist LM Pagano, you can discern the influences of those legends she grew up with. By the time she was twelve years old, she’d learned to play piano and guitar. Within three years, LM was juggling a busy schedule, attending school, working afternoons as a seamstress, and playing the L.A. music venues most nights. LM hooked up with a pianist and started performing in cabaret venues. A quirky success soon followed – in no time they were booking dates at clubs in New York and L.A. “All of the jazz I’d been listening to for all those years started banging at the door,” she laughs. “I’d want to swing a tune, or I’d want different kinds of chords. I’d get blasted by the cabaret critics: they’d say ‘Ms. Pagano is quite talented, but she should do patter.’ Well, I didn’t want to do patter, I wanted to sing!” LM started picking up gigs in Los Angeles, and continued to evolve her own singing style and found herself influenced by the two Tony Bennett/Bill Evans duo albums. “The purity of what each did on those albums, together and apart. I was listening to Bill as much as to Tony,” she reveals. “Hearing how he played; the freedom. I loved Tony because of his connection to the lyrics. As a singer, I come first from the story; once I’ve got the story in my heart, that’s when I can sing the song. My concentration is on what I’m saying, not how I’m saying it.”

Faust Tosca . After some Toulon appearances in November 1913, he sang Manon, Carmen, and Tosca During the First World War, Vezzani spent some or all of the 1915-1916 season in Toulon and the 1916-1917 season in Marseilles. The 1917-1918 season was split between Marseilles and Toulon. He was in Marseilles during the late summer of 1917 singing Tosca, Cavalleria, Manon, and Werther at a small theater on or near the beach. He was next in Toulon singing Tosca, Werther , and what may be his first Faust. He returned to Marseilles for Manon, Werther, Carmen, La favorite , and his earliest traceable Sigurd. He ended the season in Toulon for additional Werthers and Toscas , as well as two La favorites . He spent the last summer of World War I (1918) at two lesser theaters in Marseilles singing Tosca, Werther, Faust, Cavalleria, Carmen, and probably his first . During the 1918-1919 season Vezzani sang in , and Tosca in Avignon, and then in Marseilles he appeared in Werther, Cavalleria , and Tosca . All that is known about his activities in the 1919-1920 season is that he sang unidentified works in his native Bastia, followed in March by Tosca, Carmen

It has become quite clear that whilst the Marbella judge, Miguel Angel Torres, carries out his investigation, many innocent people are suffering for no fault of their own. Amongst them are many Britons.
    THE MILLMANS CASE
Mrs Millman was shocked in March of this year, just days after Del Valle was arrested, when she found that her company and its bank account had been embargoed by the Marbella court despite the fact that she had stopped dealing with the firm 18 months before. She has had no official communication from the court and the only notification has been between her bank and her lawyer. It means she cannot touch her company bank account, sell or do any work on her land and capital payments are due to start this month on her mortgage.
