Your Gateway to Radiation Safety
The Health Physics Society is a nonprofit scientific professional organization whose mission is to promote the practice of radiation safety. Since its formation in 1956, the Society has grown to approximately 6,000 scientists, physicians, engineers, lawyers, and other professionals representing academia, industry, government, national laboratories, the Department of Defense, and other organizations. Society activities include encouraging research in radiation science, developing standards, and disseminating radiation safety information. Society members are involved in understanding, evaluating, and controlling the potential risks from radiation relative to the benefits. Our Web site contains information on all Society activities and on HPS structure and objectives, membership, news and events, publications, education, and public information. You can join the Society or "Ask the Experts" using interactive features of this Web site. For general information or questions about the Society or for Society business, please

MIPT's news Research and Education Center for Basic Investigation of Matter under Extreme Conditions Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology along with Moscow Engineering Physics Institute takes part in scientific educational CRDF-REC project, which is considered to be very important for us. The key problem of the Center is to investigate fundamental properties of matter and substances at their microscopic partial level and to expose the macroscopic properties of matter under extreme conditions based on microscopic matter structure.
We are happy to present the official website of this project

Welcome to Fizteh, one of the most renowned educational institutions in Russia! Ever increasing speed of scientific research in the XX century has profoundly changed the standards of higher education in natural science. New, rapidly emerging areas of research demanded from the new generation of the scientists fundamental knowledge in Physics, many areas of Applied Mathematics and the hands-on experience in the real applied research even before they graduate. Therefore, a group of the most prominent Soviet scientists proposed to create an educational institution of a new kind. This proposal received the seal of approval from Joseph Stalin himself in 1946 and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology was born.

Welcome to the
Multimedia Physics Studios
The Multimedia Physics Studios consists of a collection of GIF animations and accompanying explanations of major physics concepts. The animations cover common physics principles discussed in a first-year high school physics course. The animation and discussion have been written specifically for high school physics students. While the animations provide a strong visual reinforcement of physics concepts, they are not interactive. Interactive Shockwave animations are currently under construction; an initial preview of such files can be found at the Shockwave Physics Studios . Related information and discussion of physics concepts can be found at this same site in The Physics Classroom

Institute for Energy Technology (IFE) is the research institute for energy and nuclear technology in Norway. IFE's nuclear technology comprises all activities that are related to the Institute's two research reactors, in Halden and at Kjeller. The most important news from Institute for Energy Technology are listed below. Extended Teamwork
IFE has performed an experiment to generate empirical data on this effect. This concept “Extended Teamwork” implies a concurrent focus on human-human and human-automation co-operation. The new MTO-Labs made it possible to represent an advanced design concept.
