The amazon page currently features Michael Dirda's review of this volume, which basically disses all of the plays except those written with Moss Hart. That review somewhat misses the mark.
There are several good plays here. Certainly the 2 best plays are "The Man Who Came to Dinner" and "You Can't Take It With You". But "Stage Door" and "Dinner at Eight" are not far behind. (Beware the movie versions of these two: they differ Theodore Roosevelt:
Most living today do not know the art of letter writing. Our lives are all phone calls and emails. We live in the instant and do not know the pleasures and benefits of taking time to form thoughts and writing in complete and coherent sentences let alone taking the time to construct paragraphs or a complete and persuasive argument. Another problem is that our communications today are perishable. There are fewer personal documents left for Louisa May Alcott:
Louisa May Alcott is best known for her classic novel "Little Women," an enchanting look at growing up. But the story of Jo March didn't stop when she went to Plumfields. This collection includes not just "Little Women," but also its two sequels.

Theodore Roosevelt
Conservation as the Guardian of Democracy
By Daniel Filler
The movement for the conservation of wildlife, and the larger movement for the conservation of all our natural resources, are essentially democratic in spirit, purpose, and method. As president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt made conservation a central policy issue of his administration. He created five National Parks, four Big Game Refuges, fifty-one National bird Reservations, and the National Forest Service. Roosevelt advocated for the sustainable use of the nation's natural resources, the protection and management of wild game, and the preservation of wild spaces. Considering America's landscape to be the source of American wealth and the American character, Roosevelt believed conservationism was a democratic movement necessary to maintain and to strengthen American democracy. Roosevelt recognised America's vast natural resources as the source of the country's economic wealth and subsequent political strength globally. The abundance of land, timber, waterways, and mineral deposits fueled the continuing expansion of American industry. In a speech addressed to a national conference on conservation held at the White House in 1908, Roosevelt stated, "Our position in the world has been attained by the extent and thoroughness of the control we have achieved over nature; but we are more, and not less, dependent upon what she furnishes than at any previous time of history." The United States had built its economic and political strength by exploiting the nation's natural resources; but Roosevelt, like other leading conservationists, no longer believed that these natural resources were infinite in their abundance.

The Roosevelt is know affectionately as the Big Stick
By Tom Carver in Washington The USS Theodore Roosevelt is "Four and a half acres of US diplomacy", according to her captain, Rich O'Hanlon. Tied up in the quiet waters of the James river, this huge aircraft carrier dwarfed all surrounding buildings.
Aircraft carriers were not built to wage war on terrorists, and no one is certain how she will perform .
In the dawn light, I watched the sailors lugging their kitbags, stereos, books and gym weights on board - whatever they needed to survive for the next six months in this floating village of 5,000 men and women. Another line of sailors passed them on the gangways going the other way, carrying off bags of rubbish, packing cases and empty cardboard boxes. Though the Roosevelt's departure date was scheduled long ago, the mission it now finds itself on is anything but routine.
