- India's only Nobel Laureate in the field of natural sciences, Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman (1888-1970), who appreciated American political system, interacted with the American men of science for about half a century. In this article, using unpublished correspondence and newspaper clips, Raman's contacts with the American men of science are explored.
