Richard Feynman's whimsical 1985 memoir, Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman , cemented his reputation as a cheerfully eccentric genius who liked to play bongos and chase women. Feynman was already among the most famous physicists of the post- Einstein era. He earned a bachelor's degree at MIT in 1939, then a doctorate from Princeton in 1942. During World War II he worked at the Army research center at Los Alamos, New Mexico, helping design the first atomic bomb. After the war he became closely associated with the California Institute of Technology (CalTech), where he was a professor from 1951 until his death. He won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1965 for his work on quantum electrodynamics, or QED. In 1986 he served on the presidential commission investigating the explosion of the space shuttle Challenger ; in one famous incident he demonstrated the fragile nature of the shuttle's O-rings by dunking a segment in a cup of ice water. He published a second memoir

Although the recording is of modest technical quality the exceptional personal style and unique delivery shine through. Feynman gives us not just a lesson in basic physics but also a deep insight into the scientific mind of a 20th century genius analysing the approach of the 17th century genius Newton.

Feynman was born in Far Rockaway Queens New York ; his parents were Jewish , although they did not practice Judaism as a religion. The young Feynman was heavily influenced by his father who encouraged him to ask questions in order to challenge orthodox thinking. His mother instilled in him a powerful sense of humor which he kept all his life. As a child, he delighted in repairing radios and had a talent for engineering. He kept experimenting on and re-creating mathematical topics, such as the

Richard P. Feynman biography
Richard P. Feynman, biography of a man who was always admired for his wit, intelligence, independence and a never-ending curiosity.
Years later he came up with new quantum theory (Quantum electrodynamics) which brought him a Nobel Prize for Physics in 1965. His theory has been proved to be the most accurate scientific theory created. Richard Feynman was born on May 11, 1918 in Brooklyn to Lucille and Melville Feynman. Since childhood he was known for his fascination towards science and puzzles. He almost reinvented everything that he studied. While in school, rather than learning trigonometry from the book, he reinvented all the formulas himself: he was quite successful. On his summer job he invented a new method for carrying many dishes at a time and to cut many beans at a time, however, not always in this was he successful. While working on the atom bomb at Los Alamos he figured out how to crack top-secret safes and just for amusement he took every opportunity to open them. He got his Bachelor of Science degree from MIT in 1939 and received his doctorate at Princeton University in 1942.

It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong. Richard P. About this website (Sept. 2005) : This website is 2 years old, has 300 pages, and gets about 20,000 page visits a day . Its main function is to show that the most simple solution for describing physical reality, the Wave Structure of Matter (WSM) in Space, does actually work (the problems have been caused by the 'Particle' conception of matter in 'Space-Time', as Einstein realised). Now we realise that most people are not into physics, philosophy or metaphysics. However, most people do care about the world that we live in, and the future world that we are creating for our children. And it is pretty obvious that truth and reality (those much abused terms) are the two most important subjects for Humanity to understand if we are to build a better world. Our aim is to get these various WSM subject pages in the top ten in Google so that this knowledge of the Wave Structure of Matter (WSM) is at least known and considered. To achieve this we really need your help to add links to this website . If we can convince just 1% of people (100 people a day) to donate 5 minutes of their time to help then we will easily succeed in achieving this over the next year or so (as most of our pages currently rank in the top 50 in Google for relevant search terms).
Finally, our
