I can just hear the pitch for Enough in my head. "It's Double Jeopardy except the scorned wife gets martial arts instead of firearms training!" "It's Sleeping with the Enemy if Julia Roberts were packing a hidden can of whoop-ass!" And, indeed, Enough delivers on exactly what such pitches promiseincluding being a pretty atrocious movie. There's no denying, however, that Enough 's climaxwhich is revealed in every aspect of the ubiquitous marketing campaignis one huge crowd pleaser. When victim-no-more Slim (Jennifer Lopez), newly buffed and trained in the Israeli martial art known as Krav Maga, finally stands up to her abusive, adulterous creep of a husband Mitch (Billy Campbell) and straight up bitchslaps him, it's difficult to resist the urge to clap. But this isn't necessarily due to the audience's identification with and sympathy for Slim and her plight; it's more because after tormenting the audience with such painfully forced and over-the-top villainy, one can't wait for Campbell to get his just desserts for crimes against acting. To be fair, Campbell is just one characteristic cog in the horribly unsubtle machinations of

THIS ILLUSTRATES MY INTEREST IN IMAGING, NOT MY HOME ENVIRONMENT! I'LL OWN UP, IT'S ME! This site is about two of my principal interests that I enjoy sharing:- 1) Imaging, both photographic and digital. 2) Science, metaphysics, and particularly the boundary between them. I like to keep a foot in both the science and the arts camps, in an attempt to balance rational and aesthetic drives.
A selection of my images, split up into categories. (The images are constantly updated, but just one at a time) The gallery index leads to eight panels of thumbnail images, and thence to the corresponding individual images at monitor screen resolution. What motivates me; my progression from photography to digital imaging.

Brown, Michael S.,
in full MICHAEL STUART BROWN (b. April 13, 1941, New York, N.Y., U.S.), American molecular geneticist who, along with Joseph L. Goldstein , was awarded the 1985 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for their elucidation of a key link in the metabolism of cholesterol in the human body. Brown graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, in 1962 and received his M.D. from that university's medical school in 1966. He became friends with Goldstein when they were both working as interns at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston during 1966-68. After conducting research at the National Institutes of Health from 1968 to 1971, he became an assistant professor at the Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, where he was reunited with his colleague Goldstein. In Dallas the two men began their collaborative research on the genetic factors that are responsible for high levels of cholesterol in the bloodstream. They compared the cells of normal persons with those of persons having familial hypercholesterolemia, which is an inherited tendency to get abnormally high blood cholesterol levels and, as a result, atherosclerosis and other circulatory ailments. Brown and Goldstein were able to trace a genetic defect in the afflicted persons that resulted in their lacking or being deficient in cell receptors for low-density lipoproteins (LDL), which are the primary cholesterol carrying particles. Their research established that these cell receptors draw the LDL particles into the cells as a prelude to breaking them down, and thus remove them from the bloodstream. The two men also discovered that the cell capture of such lipoproteins inhibits the further production of new LDL receptors by the cells, thus explaining how high-cholesterol diets overwhelm the body's natural capacity for withdrawing cholesterol from the bloodstream.

Set aside your guilty verdict! Challenge questionable acts by prosecutors, judge or your own lawyer. You may be granted a new trial, or lower sentence.
Verdicts can be set aside by showing questionable acts by the judge, the prosecution, or your own lawyer; or perjured testimony by prosecution witnesses, or evidence-tampering, etc.

"I have 30 years criminal trial experience in Texas State and Federal Courts, including post-conviction writs and appeals to set aside a verdict. I am certified as a Criminal Defense Lawyer by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization." Michael J. Brown
Attorney Michael Brown takes cases involving appeals and post-conviction writs of habeas corpus from convictions in State or Federal Courts anywhere in Texas.
In addition, Attorney Brown takes appellate work from convictions in Federal Courts anywhere in the United States.
This wide-ranging area of practice is possible because appellate work is done "in our offices" by reviewing the record of the proceedings of the trial, and by preparing an "appellate brief" or "post-conviction writ" challenging the conviction.

Background: Brown-Séquard syndrome is an incomplete spinal cord lesion characterized by a clinical picture reflecting hemisection of the spinal cord, often in the cervical cord region. Pathophysiology: The pure Brown-Séquard syndrome reflecting hemisection of the cord is not often observed. A clinical picture comprising fragments of the syndrome or the hemisection syndrome plus additional symptoms and signs is more common. Interruption of the lateral corticospinal tracts, the lateral spinal thalamic tract, and at times the posterior columns produces a picture of a spastic weak leg with brisk reflexes and a strong leg with loss of pain and temperature sensation. Note that spasticity and hyperactive reflexes may not be present with an acute lesion.

http://www.mbfamlaw.com.au
Browns the Family Lawyers can offer you specialist expertise and personal service in dealing with the legal matters surrounding your divorce or separation from your spouse or partner.
Specialist Expertise

Because of the complexity of the law these days, no single practitioner can be an expert on "the law" in its entirety. In New South Wales the Law Society has recognised this and has made it possible for practitioners with expertise in Family Law to become accredited specialists. To be eligible for this accreditation a solicitor must:
  • Have at least 5 years experience and to have been substantially involved in Family Law for at least 4 years.
  • To have at least 25% of his or her practice in the Family Law area.
  • Pass the rigorous examination and selection process for specialist accreditation.

Home Biography Community Involvement Cornerstone Issues for DC ... Contact Us A Message from Michael Brown Dear Citizen of the District of Columbia: Thank you for visiting my Web site. I am exploring the possibility of running for Mayor of the District of Columbia. While our great City has certainly made strides in recent years, not all of our citizens have reaped the benefits. I have worked throughout my life to improve our schools and our communities and to ensure a level playing field for all of our residents in all aspects of their lives. I envision a City where all residents have job opportunities to support their families; all children and families have access to quality education and health services; every neighborhood is safe and free of dangerous weapons; every business-person has an opportunity to succeed; and our leaders take pride in our City by providing safe water to drink, and a modern and reliable public infrastructure and transportation system. I want to be a part of fulfilling that vision. In the months ahead, I will share with you my thoughts and seek your ideas on how we can build a better District of Columbia. In the meantime, I hope my Web site provides an introduction to me and some of the issues of importance to me. Together we can rebuild our community values.
