This isn't humour, but I didn't know where else to put it.
Today, at a time when fundamentalist Islamic extremism is affecting so much of our world, I think it's interesting to note the statistical difference between Arabs and Jews shown below. I think that if the fanatics spent less time on politics and religion, and more on 'useful endeavours' (lots of room for discussion here!), it would be a good thing for their people and for everyone. As it is, they have only managed to accomplish a lot of chanting and rocking about ARAB/ISLAMIC NOBEL WINNERS JEWISH NOBEL WINNERS 19.6% of World's Population

Leben
Asser stammte aus einer wohlhabenden niederl¤ndischen Juristenfamilie, sein Vater und GroŸvater praktizierten als Anw¤lte , ein Onkel war Justizminister. Er studierte Jura am Athenaeum in Amsterdam , wo er auch promovierte. Noch im gleichen Jahr wurde er Mitglied einer internationalen Kommission , die ¼ber die Abschaffung von Z¶llen auf dem Rhein verhandelte. Ab lehrte Asser Zivilrecht am Athenaeum in Amsterdam , von an hatte er den Lehrstuhl f¼r Internationales Recht und Wirtschaftsrecht an der Universit¤t von Amsterdam inne. In der niederl¤ndischen Politik war er ab als juristischer Berater des AuŸenministeriums , als Mitglied des Staatsrates und ab als Minister ohne Ressort t¤tig. Schon fr¼h in seiner Karriere begann sich Asser mit internationalem Zivilrecht zu befassen, wobei er sich f¼r eine weitgehende internationale Vereinheitlichung einsetzte. Mit Unterst¼tzung der niederl¤ndischen Regierung organisierte Asser zwischen und eine Reihe von internationalen Konferenzen in Den Haag , die von Repr¤sentanten der meisten europ¤ischen Staaten besucht wurden. Dort gelang es erstmalig, internationale Vertr¤ge ¼ber die Vereinheitlichung der Durchf¼hrung von
