I have listed somethings you should make certain you know for the test. This list may not be complete but is a good start for your reviewing. Be certain to look over the first three labs you have done so that you are familar with what you did on those assignments. Here are some reasons that Python is better for secondary math majors than Pascal
  • The language is completely free for downloading off the web - no charge when you get out in the schools. Pascal usually costs money. Python allows you to do GUI's and Pascal doesn't Python is interpreted, Pascal is compiled. Interpreted languages are faster when programs are developed. Python is Object-Oriented. Pascal is not. There are a huge number of functions available to a Python user. Pascal's functions are fairly limited. There are a large number of data structures: lists, tuples, and dictionaires in Python. Pascal has some data structures but they aren't as useful to the programmer There are probably other reasons, but I thought of these.
VARIABLE NAMES
A variable name must start with an alphabetic character and can be followed by alphabetic characters, digits (0-9), and the underscore character. A variable name can be as long as you want, however practically I would suggest not making them longer than 10 or characters. Python distinguishes between the case of letters so that the variable name, Max, is different from the variable name max.

Placement Tests
Accuplacer
Sample Questions Test Tips DeVry utilizes computer placement tests (CPTs) to identify students’ strengths and areas where improvement is needed, so that an appropriate course schedule can be developed. These tests generate information about skills in reading, writing, arithmetic, and elementary algebra. Tests are administered on a computer, though no previous experience with computers is necessary. After finishing the tests, students meet with an advisor to discuss the results. The number of questions on each test ranges from 12 to 20. Questions appear one at a time on the computer screen and are multiple-choice. All you need to do is use the mouse to select the desired answer. When you’ve completed the question and verified your answer, a new screeen will appear with your next question. Each ACCUPLACER™ test is designed using adaptive techniques. This means the computer automatically determines which questions are presented to you based on your responses to prior questions. The technique zeroes-in on just the right questions to ask you.

Hey there. Thanks in advance for any help offered.
My Software Engineering class is working on a database driven web app this semester and I have been asked
to document the database. It's not too big of a DB, about 15 tables, 60 stored procedure. My question is: What
would be the best way (or industry standard way) of documenting all the data. Preferably I would like to create
        html documentation.
I know the policy on school work help at this site, but I don't want explicit ways of doing it. Just suggestions or
        links to more relevant info.

Summer Reading Project 2005 Below is information on the 2005 GCIT Summer Reading Program. As we continue our quest for academic excellence, we desire to build on the success of last year’s program and encourage our students to read critically, write creatively, and think clearly. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO READ A MINIMUM OF TWO BOOKS, COMPLETE AN INFORMATION SHEET, AND CREATE A PROJECT. Our faculty members have chosen pairs of books. Students must read both books in the pair, unless otherwise noted. Suggestions for projects are enclosed. On Friday, September 9, one period will be devoted to Summer Reading. Students will gather with the faculty member who suggested the books for an opportunity to share in discussion. ALL students will be encouraged to present their projects at that time. However, even if a student chooses not to do an oral presentation, all assignments MUST be handed in on that day. Our goal is to create a community of readers who will develop a lifelong love of learning.

40. Tips For Taking ACCUPLACER
You are not allowed to use dictionaires, calculators, notebooks, Scratch paperfor solving math problems will be provided by the Placement Test Proctor.
http://users.bloomfield.edu/department/placementtest/placementtest-tips.htm
Tips for Taking ACCUPLACER™ * review before the test * Relax! ACCUPLACER™ was designed to help you succeed in school. Your score helps you and your advisor to determine which courses are most appropriate for your current level of knowledge and skills. Once you identify your academic strengths and needs, you can get the help you need to improve underdeveloped skills before they can interfere with your learning. You will be able to concentrate better on the test if you get plenty of rest and eat properly prior to the test. You should also arrive a few minutes early so you can find the testing area, bathrooms, phones, etc., and gather your throughts before the test begins. (And if you wear glasses, remember to bring them with you!) Pay careful attention to test directions and be sure you understand the directions before you begin each test. You should understand that this is an adaptive test. Questions are chosen for you on the basis of your answers to previous questions. Because the test works this way, you must answer every question when it is first given. You cannot omit any question or come back to change an answer. You may change your answer on a particular question, but you must do so before continuing on to the next question. If you do not, the answer is accepted and you cannot return to the question. If you do not know the answer to a question, try to eliminate one or more of the choices. Then pick one of the remaining choices.
