In the senior level, open to all undergraduates, Pedro Lei, senior in mathematics from Macau, won the $450 first prize. Previously he won second prize in the 2001 junior math competition and first in the 2002 and 2004 senior competitions. Jeff Bergfalk, Mission senior in English and mathematics, won the $150 second prize in senior-level competitions. Previously in the junior level he won first prize in 2001 and 2002 and second in 2004. Brian Moehring, Olathe sophomore in mathematics and physics, won the $300 first prize in the junior-level competition, open to all undergraduates who are not seniors. Yujie Li, junior in biology, mathematics and molecular biosciences from the Guang Dong province of China, won the $100 junior-level second prize. For his outstanding performance in the junior-level competitions as a KU undergraduate, Xiaobang Yue, now a senior in computer engineering from the Sichuan province of China, won a $300 special junior-level prize.
