Information on virtual reality, Data gloves, HMD's, and various other projects.
http://www.geocities.com/mellott124/
Hi, my name is Kevin Mellott and I like to mess around with VR. I graduated with Honors from High Tech Institute, a trade school in Phoenix, AZ and currently have my Associate degree in Computer/Electronics, FCC GROL Certification, C.E.T. certification, Fiber Optic Certification, and my A+ Certification. I currently work for Agilent Technologies in Santa Rosa, CA. VR is one of my passions. My first Virtual Encounter was enough to hook me on this amazing concept. I have surfed the web countless hours looking for everything from Power glove information to old Vr Systems that never where, like Atari's IVR system. I am going to update my page as much as possible with all the information I have found on any subject regarding Virtual Reality and so forth. If you ever have any questions or comments please feel free to email me. I have much more info then listed here and I am always happy to help. So here goes. I can build the projects below if you can not do it on your own. Here is a Project Price List . For any questions, email me. The link is at the bottom of this page. VRML Virtual Reality Modeling Language
VRML allows to create "virtual worlds" networked via the Internet and hyperlinked with the World Wide Web. Aspects of virtual world display, interaction and internetworking can be specified using VRML without being dependent on special gear like head-mounted devices (HMD). It is the intention of its designers to develop VRML as the standard language for interactive simulation within the World Wide Web. Dennis Holloway, An Architect in Northern New Mexico
    Architecture/NativeAmerican Home Early Work

Since early childhood, I have been fascinated by Native American architecture. But in the place where I grew up in Shiawassee County, Michigan , I can not remember ever seeing a single artifact of the original Chippewa Indian buildings or places they builtso transformative was the modern farming to Michigan's Lower Peninsula! Still, I used to wander the forests and fields near Durand in search of some evidence that the Chippewa had been there. The school library was no helponly one book on architecture titled, "The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World".
In northern New Mexico I was astonished to see so many architectural ruins of the prehistoric Indians still evident in the landscape. Seeing the ruins of these splendid buildings and villages was like seeing for the first time the cultural landscape of a continent. As a hobby, I have been studying these buildings ever sinceat every spare moment. They have become an important inspiration to me in my architecture practice here in the Southwest US.
(See more virtual reality reconstructions of these and other Native American places
